Evans Kidero to challenge Homa Bay gubernatorial results in court

Former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero has promised to challenge the just concluded Homa Bay Gubernatorial results in court.

Addressing the media, Kidero noted that he will pursue the legal channel terming the election results as flawed with irregularities.

ODM candidate Glady Wanga was confirmed the winner of the tightly contested elections garnering a total of 244,559 votes. Kidero came second with 154,182 votes and the UDA candidate Mr. Mark Raudi came third with 1,244 votes.

The victory was history in the region as she became the first female candidate to clinch the gubernatorial seat in Nyanza.

Speaking after the news, Wanga attributed her win to Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua for inspiring her to take on the task that she fought for.

At the begging of her campaigns, she was tasked with also campaigning for Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga before shifting her attention to the gubernatorial race.

Wanga also called on his competitor Dr. Evans Kidero to joins hands and drive the agenda of Homa Bay residents.
