Presidential results Form 34A goes missing at Raila’s polling station

Drama ensued at Old Kibra Primary Polling Station after the presidential results Form 34A went missing forcing a recount of the ballot papers.

The loss of the form forced the presiding officer at the Station to re-open the ballot boxes and recount the votes in the presence of party agents who were present at the time.

The news has attracted the attention of many Kenyans who sought to understand the situation on the ground given that it was the same station that Azimo la Umoja presidential candidate Hon. Raila Odinga voted on Tuesday.

After the confirmation of the results, the presiding officer will fill Form 34A which will be submitted together with other similar forms from various polling stations to the constituency returning officer who will fill the results in Form 34B.

All Form 34B’s results in the country are then wired to IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati who will then declare the winner of the presidential elections.

Currently, the counting process is ongoing in some parts of the results as they send the scanned results to the IEBC platform. Even though the forms have been submitted, they are yet to be announced to make them count.
