Ruto launches attack against DCI boss George Kinoti

Deputy President William Ruto has on Sunday launched attack against DCI Boss George Kinoti following the arrest of three Venezuela nationals at JKIA.

Speaking from Kericho during his campaign rally, the Deputy President called on Kinoti to stay clear of IEBC and allow the commission to conduct a free and fair election, free from harassments.

“Huyo bwana Kinoti aache ujinga, hakuna kitu amefanya kwa hii Kenya. Kazi yake ni kuendesha kesi za kisiasa. Anaendesha kesi kwa gazeti. Yeye ni mtu wa sinema, anatuandikia barua sijui barua ya kilomita ngapi,”

“Mr Kinoti please save your time. Stop writing long letters to us. Leave matters elections to IEBC, you have no business in IEBC. You have failed as DCI, we don’t want you to fail our elections,” Said DP William Ruto.

The Deputy President’s remarks follows a lengthy explanation by DCI on the movement of three Venezuelans who were arrested with crucial election materials at JKIA.

The three were confirmed as non employees of Smartmatic International B.V and IEBC as claimed by the commission who noted that the materials were destined to there offices ahead of the elections.

Contrary to IEBC statement, DCI noted that the three were to handle the materials to one Abdulahi Abdi Mohamed and they booked as personal luggage.

The Deputy President also took a sweep at President Uhuru Kenyatta calling on the Head of State to focus on matters affecting Kenyans and not the Azimio coalition.
