Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Paul Wainaina resigns

Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Paul Wainaina has on Tuesday resigned barely a week after he was called out by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Head of State blasted the Vice-Chancellor for opposing a project by World Health Organization at the institution.

Speaking from the University, President Uhuru noted that the land in question belongs to the government and is meant to benefit not only Kenyans but meat health emergencies throughout the African continent.

President Uhuru continued by saying that Kenya cannot operate independently but through corporations including the World Health Organization (WHO) for the sake of citizens who are beneficiaries of the projects.

“Property whether its statehouse where I stay for the next few weeks or its university or hospital, this is the property of Kenyan people held in trust by the government of Kenya. This is why we try and adopt a whole government approach,” Said President Uhuru

At the end of the speech, President Uhuru promised to deal with those hindering projects claiming the land is theirs, swiftly but effectively and ensure that they head home.
