Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has officially joined Wiper party ahead of the August general elections.
The former Governor met top officials of the party but is not yet clear whether he will be vying for any elective post in the coming elections.
Present during the meeting was Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and party chairman Chirau Ali Mwakwere.

“The Buffalo gang is growing by the day! This evening, flagged by The Wiper Party Chairman Chirau Ali Mwakwere, SG Shakila Abdalla, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua and Embakasi South MP Julius Mawathe, we received the immediate former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to the Wiper family.” Said Wiper
Sonko was impeached back in 2017 after Members of the County Assembly of Nairobi passed a vote of no confidence against him before the decision was cemented by the Senate.
Before becoming the Governor, Sonko was the Senator of Nairobi between the year 2013 and 2017. He later replaced then Governor Evans Kidero
