Six Police officers accused of killing two brothers from Kianjokoma village in Embu have been freed on bail.
The six were granted a Ksh 300,000 cash bail each by a Nairobi Court and ordered not to visit the scene back in Embu without court permission.
The six who include Benson Mbuthia, Consolota Kariuki, Nicholas Cheruiyot, Martin Wanyama, Lilian Cherono, and James Mwanikiwere were arrested following allegations of police brutality in the incident.

According to police reports, the two brothers Benson Njiru and Emmanuel Mutura are reported to have succumbed as they attempted to escape a police vehicle after they were arrested during curfew hours.
Protests ensued as residents demanded justice for the two who died the day they had started their own butchery business in the area.
An autopsy was conducted on the bodies with the accused officer detained at Capitol Hill police station pending the conclusion of the investigations.
The officers requested the bodies of the deceased be exhumed and a fresh autopsy conducted in the presence of their private pathologist who was absent in the first autopsy.
The request was turned down by the court with the accused charged with murder and ordered to undergo a mental assessment before taking a plea.
