Millicent Kithinji, the elderly woman who had hosted them was arrested in the process and taken in for questioning.

Parents of the children have already been contacted with most of them confessing they never knew that their children had sneaked out.

Detectives are now trying to establish how they got to the house and why the woman in question hosted them.

“Already, officers have contacted some of their parents. Investigations are ongoing to establish how the children sneaked out of their homes and travelled that far without raising suspicion from their parents.

Police also want to establish why the woman had hosted the children and how the children got to her house. The DCI once again requests parents to take keen interest in their children’s activities at home and on the social media networks.” said DCI
