Kenya has in the last 24 hours confirmed 244 new COVID-19 infection rising the number of confirmed cases to 38,115.
The new cases are from 3,707 samples tested bringing to 540,308 the number of confirmed tests conducted in the country so far.

Only 228 of the new cases are Kenyans with others being foreigners aged between three months and 85-years. 157 of them are males and 87are females.
In terms of distribution, Nairobi has recorded 63 new cases followed by Nakuru with58, Kisii 23, Garissa 16, Kisumu 14 and Mombasa 13, Kiambu 10, Busia 9, Tran Nzoia 7 cases, Turkana 6 cases, Kajiado 5, Kericho 5, Uasin Gishu 2, Narok 2, Laikipia 2, Siaya 2 as Kakamega county, Marsabit, Bungoma, Meru, Murangá, Nyeri and Tharaka Nithi recorded a case each.
The number of recoveries has gone up to 24,621 after 40 patients recovered from the disease. 30 of the patients are from home-based care and 10 from various hospitals.
“40 people have recovered from the coronavirus disease, 30 from home based care program, while 10 have been discharged from various hospitals. Total recoveries now stand at 24,621.” Said MOH
Unfortunately two people died in the last 24 hours from the virus bringing to 792 the number of deaths in the country.
