Caitriona Balfe was born on 4 October 1979 in Dublin, Ireland, and grew up in the village of Tydavnet, near Monaghan. Her father is a retired garda sergeant who was a member of the national police force in Ireland. She was the fourth born child among her seven siblings- four sisters and two brothers. She is currently 41 years old, with the zodiac sign Libra. Her close ones also call her Cait as her nickname. She is a good conversationalist in English, Gaelic, and French.
