“Spookzilla” has returned to spook partygoers, organized by Rotaract Club of SLIIT and Rotaract Club of Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. Held on November 4th, from 6 pm onwards, at JR Jayawardane Hall, the venue teemed with eerie decorations, perfectly setting the tone for a spine-chilling night of Halloween festivities.
The highlight of the night was the multitude of different costumes, most of which were dark, uncanny, and creatively haunting. The effort that went into the costumes and cosplays were seen in the photos taken at the photobooth at the entrance, which was one of many other activities for the night.
A variety of fun games awaited participants in a corner, providing a break from the spookiness. Classics like knocking over cups and fear pong added to the amusement. Moreover, the haunted house at “Spookzilla” beckoned brave souls, guiding them through eerie corridors and spine-tingling encounters, heightening the pulse-pounding atmosphere throughout the night. Quite a few stalls were also present at the venue, including refreshment stalls and one for an anime clothing line which was quite busy.
The dance floor remained open for the entire night, the amazing DJ’s music creating an electric atmosphere that overtook the eerie vibe of the venue. The night concluded with the thrilling crowning of the Spooky King and Spooky Queen, adding an unforgettable touch to the hauntingly spectacular celebration.
