“Life is short; why not take all those chances and make some memories?” Quite inspiring words, coming from quite an inspiring woman. With the highs and lows she has been through, it makes the most sense to see this quote come from her, of all people.
Everyone, please welcome Rtr. Savani Ratnaweera, Director of Corporate Partnership for the RI Year 2023–24. A self-made entrepreneur, an unmatched mindset, the heart of a warrior, and an attitude that screams “Don’t cross me.” It’s safe to say that there is literally no competition when it comes to Savani.
Savani walks around with that “I’m her” vibe, and in all fairness, she is her. A mesmerising sensation in every sense of the word. Her undying ability to fulfil every responsibility she is assigned is incredible. Her credibility is quite an asset, and her killer instincts are what help her close any deal that is needed to enhance the resources of Rotaract Club of SLIIT.
With Savani, only two things come to mind: 1. Business is boomin, and 2. Stonks With the way she conducts her business, she causes more of a commotion towards companies than they do towards us. Talk about pestering to the next level, eh?
It’s not always business with Savani, though. Never have a microphone and a speaker near her; if you do, it’s karaoke night on steroids. Although blessed with a truly angelic voice, she will not stop singing until God decides so. That being said, there is always a party around her, unless it’s 8 a.m. and she has just woken up.
Catch her at 8 a.m.; she will turn into a literal zombie—a calm yet dead zombie. All is well with Savani, unless you want her to show up on time. If she does show up on time for anything, be warned: the end of the world is near!
Jokes aside, Savani is one heck of a warrior and a true sweetheart. So as we welcome her into this glorious year of SERVE TO INSPIRE, let’s be sure to watch as she ensures the industry recognises the efforts that Rotaract Club of SLIIT is putting in to make the community a better place.
