“I am the mighty Sergeant-at-Arms, the guardian of order, wielding my punny powers and captivating charisma to keep the club in line, one witty quip at a time!” In the dynamic world of Rotaract, where service and leadership intertwine, there exists a role that embodies discipline, order, and respect all together. He is a warrior in his own right and a mountain of a man in spirit;  dear readers, I introduce to you the Sergeant-at-Arms for the RI year 2023-2024, Rtr. Dinal Siriwardana!

This enigmatic role, often shrouded in mystery, plays a vital part in upholding the essence of unity and order within the club. A watchful sentinel, the Dinal ensures that meetings and events flow seamlessly. Armed with a vigilant eye and a silent aura of observation, he maintains decorum, ensuring that members’ voices are heard and discussions are carried out with the utmost respect and courtesy. Dinal takes his role as Sergeant-at-Arms very seriously, being calm and serious when required. However, with his guitar in hand and thousands of chords to back him up, he can turn a serious and tense situation into calm and comfort. Each member of the club owes Dinal, as he ensured the seamless interconnectedness between us.

When we delve into the man behind the role, Dinal is a genuine spirit at heart; there is no deceit or backhanded compliments; he is as straight-forward as they come. Sharp with words and bright with laughter, Dinal is the embodiment of one’s true self, which he seamlessly integrates into his role as our Sergeant at Arms. He subtly sets the tone of meetings with his wit and charm; he sprinkles meetings with humour, reminding everyone that while the work is vital, a light heart is equally important.

The Sergeant-at-Arms is a guardian of Rotaract traditions, carrying the legacy of the club’s values forward. From the call to order to the adjournment, the Sergeant-at-Arms orchestrates the rhythm of meetings. His charisma and humour infuse life into proceedings, ensuring that members are not only informed but also engaged, transforming meetings into moments of inspiration and unity.

As we move forward into the year 2023-2024, we can rest assured that Rotaract meetings and events are in good hands with Dinal as our Sergeant-at-Arms. His dedication, humour, and respect for tradition make him an invaluable member of the team, and we are lucky to have him as part of our team.
