“Call me one in a trillion, please. Thank you,” says our secretary. She smirks and winks at the onlookers, and morphs her face into a very serious, I-can-kill-you-with-one-Report look; the audience feels a shiver crawl down their spines.

But fear not, dear readers, she is not what she seems. It is my greatest pleasure to introduce to all of you our Secretary for the RI year 2023-24, Rtr. Nivasheni Balenthiran. She is beauty, she is grace, is a maniac with a pen, and wonder of a woman with a report. She is firm and kind, she is loud and calm, she is sharp yet forgiving, she is a juxtaposition of a woman, and you would be beyond lucky to ever be in her orbit.

Much like how in every story there is a weaver that brings together the parts of fate, destiny or whatever the story embodies, the secretary’s job is to bring different parts of the Club and create a chain of events to anyone who reads. Using her superpower of attention to finer detail, and her prowess at writing any kind of report with vigour and essence, Nivasheni brings to our club the desperately needed, yet not always wanted, thread to reality that grounds us and shows us a pathway to achieve our goals.

Nivasheni’s no-nonsense attitude has and will continue to be a blessing in disguise to each one of the members of the club. She may seem firm and serious most of the time, bur fear not, dear reader, she has a heart of gold. One thing she always says is “Please don’t hesitate to talk to me if you don’t know something.” She will always be someone who you can talk to about any of your problems and without hesitation, she will come to your aid, like the daring angel she is, carrying a clipboard and a pen of course.

As the weaver of the story, she singularly supports the president and other leaders, always ready to provide the required documentation, and her role as a reliable confidant is something that our madam president is beyond thankful for. Her reports breathe life into the club, and ensures that our club’s accomplishments are not just fleeting moments in time but a lasting legacy of service and passion. So ladies and gentlemen, I encourage you to embrace her dedication as if it were your own, and be completely inspired by her the same way I am.
