“Star of the show, with passion you blaze, Inspiring hearts in countless ways.” Quite an interesting quote, to say the least. The man behind it is just as, if not more, interesting. His mouth can pack a punch, and his words are razor sharp.

Let me introduce you all to our Immediate Past President (IPP), Lathushanan Koneswara. Yeah, him. Those of you who thought you would finally escape seeing him, well, I’ve got a newsflash for y’all. He’s back for one last year to torment every living soul in Rotaract Club of SLIIT.

He is the ‘Ring General’ (any current WWE fans, y’all know who I’m on about) of the club. A man of high praise, a legacy to remember, and a personality that just never fails to amaze you, he takes the saying “Lead by example” very seriously. I don’t say ‘Ring General’ lightly; once he starts talking, the room goes silent.

Saying all that, he’s arguably one of, if not the, most approachable people on the planet. His vibe is so welcoming, you’ll feel right at home even though it’s your first time talking to him.

This man functions like a literal dad. He could literally be passed out on a couch, yet he will claim that he never slept. If that ain’t a dad, I don’t know what is. In all fairness, he is kind of like the dad of the club at this given moment. Guiding us through every move we make, suggesting ideas, and letting his helpful presence be known.

Enough hyping him up now, eh? Let’s embarrass him a little. You all remember Mick Jagger, right? Lathu over here literally gives Mick a run for his money. One of the board members went as far as saying, “Never let Lathu drink, because if this is how he acts when he’s sober, Lord knows what he will do drunk.”

Allegedly, our IPP over here is a Wikipedia for two areas. 1. Rotaract and 2. AI: Being a ‘Rotaractpedia’ comes as no shock, as this man doesn’t live in his own home. He lives in the world of ‘Rotaract’. However, if you look at him, would you really expect him to be an ‘AI-pedia’ ? If you said yes, congratulations, because he is the embodiment of “Taking the easy way out.”

Through it all, I can guarantee one thing: Whether it be within the hypothetical walls of Rotaract Club of SLIIT or The Rotaract District 3220, Lathu deserves to be on the Mount Rushmore of Rotaract. That’s all there is to our IPP. Excited to know him? You should; it’s his last year with Rotaract Club of SLIIT
