Make your Toothpaste Powder to Cleanse the Gums – Beauty and hygiene

In recent years, supermarket toothpaste has become a hotly debated topic. The list of chemical ingredients is long. Many of them are simply useless or just for better marketing.

High foaming white toothpaste simply sells better. Some ingredients are even suspected of being harmful to health. In particular, the fluoride it contains often has been criticized: is it useful or harmful, and how much is really needed?

It is clear to me that the best thing to do is to manufacture my own care products, including dental care products. It’s the only way to know what I brush my teeth with.

Moreover, I can be absolutely sure not to pollute the environment or produce unnecessary waste. One of my favorite recipes is homemade toothpaste.

Make your own toothbrush powder

Homemade tooth Powder is a natural and effective substitute for conventional toothpaste. The production is very easy and some ingredients grow at your fingertips, so to speak.

For this homemade toothpaste powder you will need:

  • 5 tablespoons dried rose petals
  • 3 tbsp dried sage, mint, or herbs of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda (health food store, supermarket, or order online – you can find more miracle applications with baking soda here )
  • 1 teaspoon of green clay
  • 1 teaspoon xylitol (birch sugar) as needed (health food store or online)

All ingredients are finely ground together in a blender or in a mortar.

  1. To brush your teeth, sprinkle a small amount of powder on the moistened toothbrush or directly in your mouth.
  2. Then clean as usual. Thanks to the valuable natural ingredients, the tooth powder gently removes adherent plaque.
  3. At the same time, the herbs care for sensitive gums, have an antibacterial effect and thus contribute to a healthy oral flora.
  4. Finally, xylitol helps reduce acidifying bacteria and is therefore effective against tooth decay.

In a tightly closed box, the powder can be kept for several months. I am absolutely satisfied with the tooth powder and would not use chemical toothpastes again. Since I have been using the powder regularly, my gums are much healthier and there is hardly any inflammation. In addition to homemade toothpaste alternating with toothpowder, I recommend a mouthwash for perfect oral hygiene.
