જવાબ છે?

આજ યુગ મા માં-બાપ નુ ગૌરવ જાળવવા,
કોલહુ ના બૈલ ની જેમ ઘસાતો બાળક,
પૂછે છે , આ બાળપણ એટલે શું ?

સવારે સ્કૂલ , બપોરે ટયુશન્સ ,
સાંજના બીજા અવનવા classes મા બંધાયેલો બાળક ,
પૂછે છે , આ બાળપણ એટલે શું ?

નિશાળ અને ટયુશન્સ ના દફતર નો બોજ ,
માતા-પિતા ના અપેક્ષાઓ ના વજન તળે દબાયેલો બાળક ,
પૂછે છે , આ બાળપણ એટલે શું ?

Diet ના નામે બંધાયેલું એનું ભોજન,
ઘડિયાળ ના કાંટે બંધાયેલો એનો દિવસ જોઈને બાળક ,
પૂછે છે , આ બાળપણ એટલે શું ?

સવાર થઇ , સાંજ થઇ , રાત થઇ ,
પણ , તમારી અપેક્ષાઓ તો વધતીજ ગઈ ,
ના સમજાયું તમને શું વીતતુ હશે એ કોમળ મન પર ,
તમારી અગણિત અપેક્ષાઓ ને પુરી કરવામાં વ્યસ્ત એ બાળક,
એક દિવસ જરૂર પૂછશે ,”આ બાળપણ એટલે શું ?”, એનો “જવાબ છે?”

Let the child be free. Let him achieve what he desires, instead of putting our expectations on his shoulder, we should let him excel in his passion.
