Mosquito & Ant Spray * Homemade

Today @ My Craft Table – it’s home made and and mosquito  help. With kids and pets this is a fun and useful  project for this time if year. Lisa

With the rains – and water in South Louisiana comes the bugs. Mesquites  and Ants can be a big problem. But with a few items you can make your own without harmful chemicals.

These plants and essential oils are great for these recipes.

Citronella, Clove, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Cajeput, Eucalyptus, Cedar, Catnip, Geranium, Lavender, Mint.

My Ant Kitchen spry – is super Easy.

  1. Spray Bottle
  2. Water
  3. Vinger

Mixed half and half. Works great. You can also use Lemon juice.

Also -if you need Bathroom/Bedroom – you can sprinkle baby powder in corners.

Mosquitoes Spray

2 Tablespoon Witch Hazel

2 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1/4 teaspoon Vodka (preservative)

10 drops of favorite above essential oil.

Candles for  Outside –

Container for Candle ( jar or receyled metal can)

Soy Wax  ( or you can melt old used candles)

Wicks

Citronella   oil   for fragrance,

  • Melt wax  ( in double boiler / Microwave)
  • Attach wick in container
  • Add fragrance to wax
  • Pour Hot wax – and let Cool

**Be careful while working with wax -can burn.

For Table decoration-

Use small containers of Lavenders ,Mint and Rosemary as table decorations and gifts.

Mason Jars  candles –

  • Place slices of fresh lemons.Mint leaves and Rosemary
  • Filled with Water
  • Float Candles on top .
