We all know how tiring it can be working for hours in offices. We all work hard day and night for that just one trip with our loved ones. To live those special moments and cherish memories. While many of us love to go to hill stations for pleasant weather. But some times city tourism is alluring too.

A Trip from Delhi to Jaipur is one such ride which you will love. Both of these in Indian history has played a vital role. Delhi and Jaipur both had relations from very early on. They both are rich in culture and heritage.

While Delhi has Red fort so Jaipur has your Hawa Mahal. And if Jaipur has Jantar Mantar so Delhi to have its Jantar Mantar. This shows how rich their culture is and how much similarities they both have.

We wanted some adventure so we packed our bags and went for Jaipur from Delhi.

Distance between Delhi to Jaipur

The trip from Delhi to Jaipur is around 5 hours long. The total distance between Delhi to Jaipur is around 281 km. While we could have taken a train or plane but the road adventure seemed the best.

We started to pack our bags and went on an adventure to explore the city of Jaipur.

The trip from Delhi to Jaipur is very easy and beautiful. If you are doing this trip in summers so better not use bikes like us. The temperature exceeds more than 40 degrees which makes it hard to ride.

But if you are going on this trip to Winters than it is going to be a very beautiful journey. Pleasant weather and breeze will make you happy.

From Delhi we went ahead for Gurugram from where our next stop was near Rewari. Gurugram to Rewari is only an hour ride. We had our cup of tea, chilled for a bit, and then again went ahead with all gears on.

From that tea stall we went ahead and only stopped when we reached Jaipur. As our earlier stop was only an hour away but Jaipur from Rewari is very distant. It easily takes around more than 3 hours to reach Jaipur city from Rewari.

We reached the city in the afternoon and went ahead to explore some destinations around. A few of the many places which we visited on our trip from Delhi to Jaipur are.

Jaipur has been the city of kings. From palaces to parks everything looks alluring here. The city of Jaipur is filled with historic sites and Monuments. We had a good chance to look around what Jaipur has to offer.

Amber Fort

Just 11 km from the city center is the Amber fort. The Amber fort was constructed in 1592 by Raja Mansingh. The grand architecture of this epic building will make you go crazy. With such craftmanship and art this Palace is a popular destination here in Jaipur.

Amber Fort is also known as Amer fort because it is located in Amer. Elephant riding and sightseeing around the palace is the most popular activity here.

Hawa Mahal

The famous Hawa Mahal of Jaipur is known to everyone around the world. With 953 windows the literal meaning of Hawa mahal is Place of the Winds. Hawa Mahal was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799.

Hawa mahal looks pretty beautiful at the day. The cost of the visit is only 10 rupees for Indians and around 50 rupees($1) for foreigners. The construction of the Hawa mahal is very beautiful. This Palace leaves an impression on your mind.

City Palace

Another great Palace in the city of Jaipur. The kings of Rajasthan loved their palaces and it is seen in their construction. This creation was from Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It was constructed around 1729.

The city palace is famous for its night than its days. The City Palace looks even more beautiful on full moon day(Chandni Raat main). The palace is open till 10 pm for night viewing. The city of Jaipur looks even more fabulous from here.

Nahargarh Fort

20 km from the heart of Jaipur is Nahargarh fort in Krishna Nagar. While it is a fort but it is more like a Defensive wall with the fort. This fort is in the Aravali ranges.

The view from Fort is very beautiful that’s why it has become so popular in recent years. Not only tourists love to visit this defensive fort but it is also a great picnic spot for locals.

Jantar Mantar

The largest observatory of the world Jantar Mantar is a highly acclaimed place around the world. The Jantar Mantar of Jaipur also has the largest sundial in the world. I was spell bounded with the accuracy of this sundial.

It was the creative mind of Maharaja Jai Singh who constructed this epic place. He was also very interested in astronomy and architecture and it was his imagination about Jantar Mantar.

The place also has many geometric devices and time measuring devices. This place is loved by those people who have a keen interest in Astronomy and Architecture. With that travelers like us also love to visit this place.

Jaigarh Fort

Jaigarh fort is near Nahargarh fort only. This splendid fort is spread in an area of around 3 km. This Fort was the house of artillery of Rajputs. This fort has seen many wars and defeated many attackers.

This fort also houses the world’s largest canon Jaivana. While the fort has started to age but its aura is still felt. You can also see the beautiful lake from up top. The fort is surrounded by hills and has an artillery museum here.

Jal Mahal

In the middle of Mansagar lake is Jal mahal. The beautiful Jal Mahal was also constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the 18th century. This beautiful Jal mahal is only around 10 km from the city’s heart.

The palace is very beautiful decorated with flowers all around. There are many birds that come by the lake that makes the landscape even more serene.

Best Time to Visit Jaipur

As said earlier Winters is the best time to visit Jaipur. The summers of Jaipur are unbearable for travelers. When you move around the city it is very tough to travel around. The heat makes it impossible to visit around. You will have to shorten your stay time in these places and you then cannot visit peacefully.

In winter the temperature is actually pretty pleasant. The night seems magical and the city looks beautiful. It is not very cold here in Jaipur and an extra jacket will help you on your trip from Delhi to Jaipur.
