Tend, a dentistry startup, has leased a retail space at 2360 Broadway. Our tipster, ‘UpperWestSider’, tells us they’ve leased the portion of the building located on the southeast corner of 87th Street.
The company’s website indicates that the new UWS location will be “opening soon” but does not have an exact date. Tend has locations in the Financial District, Williamsburg and Flatiron, with plans to soon open in Chelsea and Midtown East as well.

The company also invests heavily in new technology, “like 30-second x-ray machines that won’t poke the roof of your mouth or make you gag. These tools allow us to produce more accurate diagnoses, craft finer restorations, deliver more beautiful aesthetics, and make your experience more comfortable.”
Tend has been featured on various websites including TechCrunch, which mentions Tend’s sleek waiting rooms with Bose headphones and Netflix. “Tend says it will get your favorite show queued up before you arrive for your appointment, which you will breezily book online, and whose prices you can learn in advance, so you don’t suffer sticker shock later.”
Tend opened its first Manhattan location (in Flatiron) in late 2019, according to Fast Company, which also noted a $36 million investment and executives from SoulCycle, Smile Direct Club, and One Medical – the Google-backed health startup opening on 81st Street.
