🎃Halloween🎃

🟠Halloween is both the most popular and profitable holiday after Christmas. 🟠 The origin of Halloween is not entirely known. It can be a Roman feast in honor of a fruit and seed deity ( Pamona ) or the Celtic Samhain rite, during which people said goodbye to summer, welcomed winter and the day of the dead was celebrated. The Celts of the time believed that on October 31 the border between the world of the living and the dead was blurred a bit, the dead returned to Earth and wreaked havoc through the living. The only way to scare away evil spirits is to put on costumes and put on masks. The name Halloween is probably abbreviated All Hallows' E'en - that is, earlier ,,All Hallows' Eve''- All Saints' Eve.

🟠 Apple bobbing - in this game you should bite one of the apples floating in a bowl of water without using your hands. An undamaged apple when playing is supposed to mean happiness in the coming year.

🟠 On Halloween, children and adults dress up as monsters such as : vampires, ghosts and witches. Costumes are also based on TV characters. The first Halloween costumes appeared in 1930.

🟠 Believe it or not, Halloween's birthplace is not a sugar factory. The custom has been celebrated for about six thousand years and, according to beliefs, has its roots in Ireland in 4000 BC.

🟠 The trick-or-treat play is only for children. Some cities in the US have gone even further : they have banned children over the age of 12 from playing it. In some places, teenagers who have broken the ban can pay a fine of up to a thousand dollars ( a candy that has seven thousand calories is certainly not worth the punishment ! ).
