So, our Valentines Day was a whirlwind of a day! We signed the papers for our new home on the 13th (the day before Valentines Day) and celebrated our new home later that night with some packing and excited conversations of paint colors.

On Valentines Day, I Spent the first half of the day at work while my fiancé went to the new House and showed it off to some of his friends. He also went and got a new toilet seat for the toilet in the new house and got various other items we needed for home repairs.

Later that afternoon, I met everyone at the new house. My parents, my grandmother, and my brother stopped by to congratulate us on the new house, as well as a friend of my Fiancé’s who spent all day with him at the house. We opened Valentines Day candy from my mother and grandmother, excitedly showed everyone around our new home, and spent an hour or so talking about what we planned to do with the house as far as cleaning and painting goes.

Now, I would also like to say that we hadn’t told many people that we were even buying a house. The blog was actually the first place I had announced it, and we kept it quiet until we actually had the keys in our hands. So, on Valentines Day, after we showed off the house to family, we posted a little picture on Facebook of my fiancé carrying me in through the front door with a sold sign in my hands, and the caption ‘I bought my hubby a house for Valentines Day, what did you get your man?’

So yeah, our Valentines Day was spent with family and friends, at our new house, making plans for cleaning the next day and getting showered in love and ‘congrats’ on Facebook. What could be better than that? Oh yeah, and we ended the day with heart shaped chicken nuggets. Because, you know, Valentines Day.
