Work is going well enough: I have been brought in from the greenhouse as it is ‘no longer the season for it’, even though the greenhouse is filled with (now dying) mums and celosia plants. Apparently, my store would rather loose thousands in flowers than to pay someone to be out there watering and taking care of the flowers. Oh well.. I am up at six in the morning now to stock the shelves inside for the winter. I personally loved doing this last winter and it was nice to come to work early in the morning before anyone else was around, and to go home and be done with work by the afternoon! I pretty much get to fold clothes and organize the cowboy boots that people tear through when looking for ‘the perfect one’ for whatever rodeo they are going to next. It’s a simple job and I get paid for it.
We are getting ready for Winter: As Autumn starts tomorrow, my fiancé and I are preparing for Winter here at the apartments. We just got new winter tires on both of our vehicles, as our old tires were looking pretty bald, and it was no small price! Thankfully, I have put a little money aside to get tires and a winter coat for my fiancé who has never been through a Michigan winter before. We plan on repacking our ‘get home bags’ in our vehicles with extra winter clothes and hand warmers. I have also been crocheting some extra scarves and mittens for the winter months, as my old crochet mittens have somehow disappeared, but my new ones are safe and sound in the coat closet.
Wedding planning is slowing down: As we get closer to winter, a lot of the wedding planning is slowing down. We have done quite a bit of planning thus far and checked a lot of stuff off our lists. Right now, there is not much that needs done until closer to the wedding date. My father finally bought the wood for the ax throwing board, and we are still slowly gathering stuff for the party, but not much will need done until January when we can finally book the venue. For now, we are just enjoying our time together as an engaged couple and dreaming of our future.
I’m working on getting a new camera: I apologize for all of the repeat photos on my blog recently, but I not only lost my Camera charger in the move, but I seem to have lost my camera this past month as well! I have searched up and down for that dang camera and the charger, but I’m convinced that the cats have hidden it from me! As Autumn approaches, bringing with it the beautiful colorful leaves and cooler weather, I want to take pictures to show you guys! Not only that, but this will be me and my fiancé’s first holiday season together in one place, and I want to document our first Christmas and Thanksgiving together! So, I have no other choice but to look for a new camera.. I’m sure I will find the old camera the second I buy a new one, but the old one was very scratched and was starting to take blurry pictures because of a scratched lens. So goodbye old camera (wherever you are) and hello new camera (coming soon)!
