We are just 8 days away from the Autumn Equinox, and as we approach the time when our nights grow longer than our days, Autumn is already in the air!
On my way home from work in the morning, I can already see splashes of colors changing in the leaves. Although the trees here remain 90% green for now, the colors are ever so slowly appearing in the trees, leaving a hint of Autumn is in the air. (The picture below is from last year, NOT what the trees look like now..)
It’s time to bring out the pumpkin spiced Coffee Creamer, the Halloween movies, start decorating for Autumn/Halloween, and driving around to see the Autumn decor around town!
This morning I’m already sipping on my cranberry apple orange tea that I picked up at the renascence fair, and it tastes like Autumn! The dishes are done, the cats are fed, and I am enjoying a quiet morning of writing. The windows are open, and it is a chilling 47 degrees outside! I get to sit at the kitchen table curled up in a blanket as I write, a cat on my lap demanding attention, and a belly full of homemade pumpkin spiced cereal bars.
The Weather has me in the best mood as we say goodbye to the 90 degree weather we had, and say hello to sweater weather, pants, hot cocoa/tea, and 50 degree weather!
And with that, I am off to cuddle the cats on the couch, curl up in my blanket, and read a good book! As always, smile, have an amazing day, and enjoy the weather today, wherever you are!
