1. Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity Vivek, I always love to interact with new readers.

Hello BloggingBurp readers, I am Ashfaq Ahmad, an affiliate marketer, part-time blogger, founder of Techlofy (started in 2015) and founder of BloggeRoundup which I started in 2018. I did my graduation in computer science from Integral University, Lucknow.

I started BloggeRoundup with one thing in my mind i.e. to help new bloggers in achieving their dreams through blogging. All the articles on BloggeRoundup are specifically for new bloggers, they can learn about SEO, SMM, WordPress, Email marketing, Affiliate marketing, Messenger marketing, Digital marketing etc.

2. Describe how did you first get into blogging?

I have always loved blogging and I was fascinated that there are so many bloggers making good money, so I thought if they can do it then I can do it. Also,  one thing that motivated me to start a blog is my passion for blogging. I also started a few blogs earlier but at that time I wasn’t serious about it but when I started BloggeRoundup I knew this was going to be “THE ONE”, so I decided to make this blog successful.

3. Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?

I am a graduate in Computer Science, so my educational background was a plus for my blogging career because, it helped me in the technical part of the SEO as I have good knowledge of HTML, which ultimately helps my blog to rank in search results also I’ve been into digital marketing for nearly 8 Years, so that also helped me to position my blog as a useful resource for the new bloggers.

4. What type of networking do you think is better to enhance your traffic to the blog?

I’d like to connect with other bloggers. Most of the bloggers I know are in the same niche. I’ve very good relations with almost all of them, they are a good source of traffic for my blog because they share my blog post on their Social Media. If you want to increase your blog traffic, try to connect as many bloggers as you can and try to maintain a healthy relationship with them, because ultimately this will help you in the longer run.

5. How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?

When I started my blog, I was worried about how I’m going to balance blogging along with my job and family, whether I’ll be able to give time to my family and do justice to my  blog or not. I’m a very optimistic person, I decided to give my 100% to my family, job and of course to my blog.

I usually work on my blog during night time after coming from the office and I also try to utilize most of my weekend time to improve my blog, I check my blog stats on a daily basis and I engage with my social media audience daily.

6. What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?

I have always focused on three things, SEO, Backlinks & Focus keywords to improve my search ranking and to get more traffic. Also, Social Media has played a very important role in getting more traffic to my blog, I always try to increase engagement with my audience on social media, I try to answer almost every question asked by my followers and also share various updates with my audience. Out of all the social media channels, Facebook works best for me.

7. Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?

These Four people really inspired me in my blogging career Neil Patel, Kulwant Nagi, Harsh Agarwal & Anil Agarwal. I used to read a lot of articles specially from Neil & Harsh. Learning is a never-ending process, I was learning when I started my career in digital marketing, I was learning when I started my blog and I’m still learning. I read a lot of articles on different topics even today.

8. What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?

In 2015 I was really worried about how I’m gonna make money from my blog, as I have very little or no money to spend on premium tools. I also struggled a lot in driving traffic to my blog initially and it was really frustrating because no matter what strategy I use, I was unable to bring enough traffic to my blog to keep it going. I also thought to quit blogging but later decided to go on. It was a challenge as well as a learning experience.

9. What inspired you to start your blog?

As I mentioned earlier Blogging is my passion, I’ve started a few blogs early in my career but didn’t make any from it and ultimately I shut them down, I become serious about blogging in 2015 when I started Techlofy and later I started BloggeRoundup. Earning some extra money from the blog was also a great motivation for me but it took a long time to start earning through my blog.

10. How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

There are a lot of blogs out there writing the same content, so I read those blogs and then try to make my content as simple, unique and informative as possible for the new bloggers. Everyday I tell myself that I can do better than the previous day, I also set short-term & long-term goals which really motivates me. Self motivation only comes from within when you got something to achieve.

11. How much time do you spend blogging?

I nearly spent 3 to 4 hours on my blog during week days and almost 6 to 7 hours during the weekend. I’m sacrificing my sleep for my blog and It’s delivering good results.

12. Would you encourage other people to make their blogs?

Yes, I love to encourage people to start their own blog. Blogging becomes easier when you’re writing something you love. You don’t have to be an expert on a particular topic to write about it but you should have some basic knowledge about it. For those who are planning to start their own blog, writing good content is not enough, you should know how to promote your blog and don’t rush into things , blogging needs time and patience.

13. Can you name some of your favorite bloggers and explain why they are your favorites?

As I already mentioned above, my favorite bloggers are:

  • Neil Patel :- Neil Patel is undoubtedly one of the most popular digital marketer, I really like his articles and his presentation styles.
  • Kulwant Nagi :- I really like Kulwant’s article on affiliate marketing, I learned a lot about affiliate marketing from him.
  • Anil Agarwal :- Anil is an amazing blogger and a very friendly person. He’s also very supportive and helped me in my blogging.
  • Harsh Agarwal :- Harsh is my favorite blogger, I’ve been following him for the past 8 years and I still follow him as he inspires me to write a good content.
  • Adam Connell :- I really like Adam’s writing styles, his in depth content always amazes me.

14. Cool tips for a newbie?

People who wants to start a blog or earn money online, they have to be a little patience. Often people think they start a blog today and income will flood in from the next few months but that’s not the case before you start making money online from blogging or any other medium you have to wait at least a year.

Also do not try to copy others, be unique, write good, SEO optimized content, keep working on your strategies and always try to improve and be patient.

For your blogging success!

Love A.
