Chapter- 7

The Coffee Shop

I started spending time with him and as days passed it became a habit.

He’d meet me at the street Corner, just a little far from home. Walk me to campus and then leave as the classes start.

But not just that, he waits for me under the same tree in front of the __ everyday as I leave for home.

I asked him a couple of times why he does that but he just changes the topic or mischievously decline to answer.

And one day out of nowhere I had an unusual feeling that I wanted to skip classes. I haven’t done that in a long while or so as I remember.

On meeting him at the same corner I told him about my thought of skipping classes today ,

At first he acted a bit shocked but then said “I was waiting for you to say that.” and then asked what I wanted to do.

But guess what, I had no idea what I wanted to do and so I just smiled awkwardly.

“Would you like to grab a coffee?” he said with a wide grin,

“Are you asking me out?” I jumped on a chance to tease him,

“If only your answer is yes.” his grin growing wider as we walked.

We reached a Coffee Shop which I thought I was visiting for the first time,

But as I entered I got a sense of deja-vu and the place Looked extremely familiar.

“Have you visited here before?” he asked and I said no,

“I love this place and I always sit on the similar spot.” he said showing me the way to a table beside a painting.

“Why here?” I asked

“I won’t see people because of this nice wall here and the painting is beautiful.” he said after grabbing a seat,

“It won’t completely block the view though, at least not for me.” I said,

He shrugged and left towards the counter,

There was menu beside me and so I started looking at it.

“Hey, I thought it was you. Would you like your usual?” I looked up and a waitress was standing there.

Her words shocked me and so I just nodded. What does she mean by my usual?

I looked around the cafe and there was a girl sitting at a far corner staring right at me.

But when she realized I was watching, she looked away quickly.

And I sat there dumbfounded, not aware of what was happening.
