Mumbai is a different kind of city. We can see all kind of faces within a minute. Once you stay in Mumbai the next moment you are in love with mumbai. This is not a hypothetical statement. Ask somebody who have been in mumbai for around a weak. No body is ready to move out of this crowded heaven.
Yesterday I was waiting for a cab outside ny building with my family. My Destination was not so far. It normally takes 15 minutes for less. I have asked around 10 Taxis none of them were bother to take us. I even tried to bribe some yet no use. Suddenly a cab stopped next to me with all my hope I started the conversation with "Bhaiya chalo 10-20 extra le lo" Don't worry i will translate it "Uncle take us Im ready to pay 10-20 more"
But he didn't noticed that and he asked us to get in and then inquired about my destination. I was shocked looking at him. He was 60+ calm and old man doing this duty properly. On the way be both had a debate about kind of behaviour I faced. His word's surprised me. He was like "They won't take you to your destination and then go on strike and complaint about ola and uber". He was such a genuine man.
We reached near our destination and we got stuck up in the traffic. Usually the meter goes around 40 Rs but due to traffic meter went higher. When I noticed i was around 60 rs. And finally when I reached my destination the meter reached 70 rs. He took only 50 rs and returned my 20 rs. His words were 70 rs for such a short ride is unfair I can't charge you for that. I was shocked when i offered bribe no one was ready to come and here's a man who's giving me back the money. I forced him to take his blood earned money and walked way with a smile.
Mumbai shows us what humanity should be. That's the beauty of my city. City of love, Mumbai ♥️
