And How It Could Save You In The Pandemic
The will to undertake new endeavors in order to be successful.
A person that adopts this Mindset will surely be better off than someone who does not.
Adopting this lifestyle is a life-long pursuit, but starts helping you right away.
Changing your mindset occurs over time through practice and discipline.
The Quintessential Necessity
The mindset of an Entrepreneur might just be the single most important
thing to adopt during this pandemic. We are living in very uncertain
times and not sure when things will return to normalcy. We very well
may never return to what we once considered as “normal”. However one
thing is for certain, an Entrepreneurial Mindset will give you the
steadfast resolve needed to get through this. Who knows, you might even
come out better than before…
Yes Things Are Bad
The world we are living in today is unlike anything we have ever known.
We have been made to make many concessions and changes to our
normal lives. Today only remotely resembles the past. Yes we could talk
about the number of active cases or people that have passed or so much
more. The fact of the matter is that public opinion is slowly changing to
disgust. Society is getting sick of having to isolate themselves and limit
their activities. No one wants to get sick, but we are beginning to get sick
of being told what to do. Do this, do that, don’t do this, don’t do that. It is
enough to make you want to scream.
It Will Get Worse Before It Gets Better
Time rages on, as it inevitably does, and unfortunately the outlook in the
US is not yet promising. Government officials are trying to be positive
and highlight the tiniest changes in the graph. The fact of the matter is
that we still have not truly begun to flatten the curve. Things are still
going to get worse before they get better. To not accept this fact will be
detrimental to everyone’s health, both physical and mental. People are in
for a much greater stress on their finances and so much more. The
government stimulus is not nearly enough. Society is about to be tested
in a way it has not seen for a century.
Enter The Mindset Of An Entrepreneur
Throughout history, people have experienced unbelievable hardships
that have changed their lives completely. Our current situation is a
perfect example. Thankfully there is an idea that could make our voyage
through this unprecedented time much easier. That idea is the mindset of
an entrepreneur and there are 2 fundamental ideals associated with it.
Fundamental Ideal Number One
Many successful people have told us that mindset is everything. They
have told us that we should not wish things were easier, but that we were
better. People cannot control the hardships they will endure, but they can
control how they respond. One of the fundamental ideas of an
entrepreneurial mindset is being able to see difficulty as an opportunity.
Having this ability is usually not something a person is born with.
This ability is something that must be cultivated and created over time.
Practice makes perfect and trial and error is a necessity. Yet once created
this skill will greatly aid anyone in navigating troubled waters.
Fundamental Ideal Number Two
Another critical component of the mindset of an entrepreneur is the
unshakable resolve created. Entrepreneurs understand that success is far
from easy. They understand it is not uncommon for their endeavors to
need more time to become successful than most people are willing to
give. These types of people understand and accept that the only true way
to fail is to quit.
Their ability to continue through difficulties, setbacks
and perceived failures until they achieve success is paramount. Without
this irrefutable desire to succeed against all odds, many of the world’s
ground-breaking discoveries would have never happened.
This Mindset Is What People Need
An entrepreneurial mindset is exactly what people need right now. People
are facing challenges, hardships and massive amounts of fear and
uncertainty. Some people are nervous of getting the virus because they
are in a high risk group. Others are facing the fact they have been laid off
and have little or no savings to rely on. Having the right mindset could be
the deciding factor in how some people come out on the other side.
Uncertainty will make you hesitate and fear can be paralyzing. Wouldn’t
you like to believe deep down that no matter what, you will be alright?
That no matter what challenges you face, you will surely overcome?
There are a lot of people in the world. Some already believe that
everything will work out in the end. However there are others that are
uncertain. It is my firm belief that no matter where you are on this
spectrum, an entrepreneurial mindset would help you in one way or
another.
Use The Mindset Of An Entrepreneur
One thing I dislike about the digital age is that too many people like to
speak of theory and never provide examples. What good is that? I say
none whatsoever. Therefore this next section is directed toward trying to
provide actual examples of things that may help you in this time of crisis.
Fight The Fear
There are a few ways to give yourself more confidence when things get
tough:
- Read
Expanding your knowledge of a topic that gives you anxiety is a proven method to combat it. We live in the digital age and any piece of information can be searched on the internet. Any topic can be explained by reading a book about it. Any new skill can easily be learned by following a tutorial on YouTube. The only thing required is the want to learn.
- Motivational Quotes
Motivational quotes can also be very helpful. These are positive quotes that when posted somewhere visible utilize a person’s subconscious mind to install confidence. It is the daily repetition of seeing them that over time helps create the mindset of an entrepreneur.
3. Choose Your Company
Legendary entrepreneur Jim Rohn was quoted as saying we are the average of the five people we hang out with the most. Grant Cardone will tell you that a person needs to always reach upward when choosing their company. Surrounding yourself with positive, knowledgeable people will greatly increase your confidence and overall chance of success.
Take control Of Your Financial Situation
If you are a person that has become unemployed or adversely affected f
inancially, there are also things you can do. Remember you don’t have to
continue to do the same income producing activities. There has never
been a greater time to be able to make money in new ways. Here are just a
few:
- Quizzes and Surveys
Nowadays it is very easy to go online or download an app and take surveys and get paid for it. It does not yield very much, but is super easy.
- Write An eBook
There is an unbelievable eCommerce giant called Amazon. Amazon allows anyone to easily self-publish an eBook and then continue to be paid residually as it is purchased. This has slightly more work upfront, but can continue for years.
- Create A Video Course
Sites like Udemy are excellent ways to create online courses. These are also a digital product that can produce residual income for years.
- Start a YouTube Channel
Anyone with a computer can start a YouTube channel. If you are willing to learn you can certainly make a comfortable addition to your income or even a full living solely on a new channel.
That’s A Wrap
Now I will admit that more time is required as you go down the list. One
more thought process change is needed here. You are going to get
through this no matter what right? So why not start building something
now that will produce income in the future, in perpetuity? There is no
such thing as ‘get rich quick’, an idea I held on to for a very long time. It
pleases me to tell you that the faster I accepted this idea, the faster things
changed.
The world right now is a depressing place, but there is no doubt we will
prevail…eventually. This pandemic is just going to take longer to get over
than anyone on the planet could possibly want. Whatever. We are strong
and resilient. Yet I will guarantee that the people that adopt the mindset
of an entrepreneur will come out in a better situation than those who do
not.
