Halloween is an ideal season to make a lot of fun and festive drinks to enjoy! This Snow White Poison Apple Cocktail is perfect for any Halloween gathering or event. Enjoy this wickedly delicious poison apple drink as an adults-only beverage or a kid-friendly treat.

I think Halloween is probably the season where I have the MOST fun with cute and playful recipes! Seriously, what’s not to love about the bold colors and surprise factor of cute Halloween-themed food and drinks?

In the past, I made a Hocus Pocus Frappuccino (perfect to drink when watching the new Hocus Pocus 2’s release!), Harry Potter Starbucks Butterbeer Latte, and Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice. Adults and kids will both enjoy these delicious drinks!

However, it was time for something green.

And spooky.

And “smokey.”

I recently tried my hand at “green” with my Harry Potter Polyjuice Potion Frappuccino, and it’s delicious!

But I wanted something even MORE green and spooky!

Say hello to the poison Apple Halloween cocktail: a deliciously wicked way to celebrate the spooky season!

Seriously, what’s not to love about this electric green drink that has the best balance of sweet and sour? Make it in large quantities as a Halloween party punch, or as single adults-only cocktails.

Let The Adults In On The Spooky Good Fun!

Halloween is famously a kid’s holiday. But who says kids should have all the fun?

After the decorations are displayed, and the costumes are complete, it’s time to enjoy some Halloween-themed treats (food AND drinks!).

If you’re hosting a gathering this Halloween season, this easy Snow White Poison Apple cocktail will impress without the stress. And it makes a GREAT Halloween movie-watching companion!

What’s more, this simple holiday cocktail doesn’t require exotic ingredients that will eat up your time searching to find them! I’ve kept these green Halloween drinks simple and easy to adjust between kids’ or adults’ versions.

I think I should warn you, though, that this spooky green beverage is said to be dangerously good. It holds the perfect balance of sweet and tart that keeps you coming back for more.

How To Turn This Cocktail Into A Kid-Friendly Poison Apple Drink (Mocktail)

In order to make this drink PG, you need to substitute the sour apple Schnapps liqueur for a simple green apple syrup.

You can make the sour apple syrup to provide that sour apple taste to your drink. Or, if you want to save time and hassle, you can BUY Green Apple Syrup!

Here’s how to make a simple sour apple syrup. Gather:

  • 10 Sour Apple Jolly Rancher Hard Candies
  • 2 cups of Water
  • 1 large Plastic Storage Bag
  • Rolling-pin or meat tenderizer

Directions:

  1. Boil the water in a saucepan.
  2. Put the unwrapped candies in a bag and use your mallet or rolling pin to break them up until they’re mere crumbles.
  3. Add candy to the boiling water and stir until all the pieces dissolve.
  4. Let your syrup cool, and it’s ready to use.

Kid-Friendly Snow White Drink Mocktail Directions

Just replace the sour apple liqueur with 1.5 – 2oz of sour apple syrup. Keep the rest of the recipe the same.

Variation Ideas

There are so many ways to add a little variety to this recipe! In addition to making this adults-only drink kid-friendly, here are some other ideas to change things up.

Change The Flavor

Replace the 7-Up with apple cider or apple juice, cranberry juice, or sparkling water (or a combination).

Or try giving this Poison Apple Cocktail a candy apple twist by adding a little bit of butterscotch schnapps.

Play Around With Color

I happen to think the green color is awesome! But you can change the color to coordinate with the season or holiday.

Examples:

  • Turn it red by adding cranberry juice or pomegranate juice.
  • Add food coloring (such as purple or black) to give it a dark, spooky look.

Add Garnish

An apple slice would be cool, right? A lemon twist could also be a tangy option.

Add Some Smoke

Ok, not REALLY smoke…but dry ice would give an edible smokey effect. Just add little chips directly to the glass.

If you’re making a large batch for a group, add a chunk of dry ice to the bottom of a punch bowl. If you do this, don’t allow kids to serve the drinks to eliminate the risk of them burning themselves on the dry ice.

Safety Tip: Please handle dry ice carefully and never touch it directly. Always use kitchen tongs to add dry ice chips to your drink.

How To Serve This Snow White Cocktail

  • Individual glasses decorated with dripping “blood” gives great extra spooky vibes. Add fake blood to the rim of your glasses in the form of light corn syrup mixed with red food coloring.

How do I store this drink?
