It doesn’t matter what social media or visual search engine you’re using you’ll probably always find someone who will either spam or harass you.

It’s no different when it comes to Pinterest – as I’ve found out some time ago. I was getting spammed by lots of annoying folks. They were sending me their poor quality pins and links to their clickbait content.

It was really irritating but I dealt with them.

How?

I blocked or reported them.

Let me show you some tips on how I did that.

How to Block People on Pinterest

So, let’s say you’re annoyed by another Pinterest user and you’d to block him so he wouldn’t be able to reach out to you again.

What you need to do is click on his profile.

Now, when you’re inside his profile click the three dots icon next to the follow button and then click ‚Block’.

As soon as you do that another window will appear. All you need to do here is confirm the action.

As soon as you click ‚Block’ you’ll see the confirmation.

It’s as simple as that. Nothing complicated.

When a user is Blocked on Pinterest he won’t be notified about it but when he tries to join your group, interact with your pin he will receive an alert.

So, that’s how you can solve this problem but what if you’d like to stop some people from following you?

Well, you can’t just delete your followers but you can also block them.

That should solve the problem.

However, what if we’ve blocked someone by mistake?

There’s a simple solution for it, too.

How to Unblock People on Pinterest

To unblock someone on Pinterest after you’ve just blocked him simply go to this person’s profile.

What you’ll find there is a button that you can unblock this user with.

Nothing too complicated, right?

How to Report People on Pinterest

The other way to deal with annoying people, spam or harassment is simply to Report people on Pinterest. There are two ways to do that.

We can either report a user by reporting a pin or by reporting the message he sent us.

Let me show you both ways now.

Firstly, if you found a pin in the feed that is probably breaking the Pinterest policies you can report it by clicking on the three dots in the bottom right of the pin.

You’ll see three options to choose from. Just click Report Pin.

The last thing you’ll need to do here is to choose the reason why you’re reporting this pin.

Just choose one of them and click next.

You can also report from your inbox, right after you received a message from another user.

Whether it’s spam, harassment or annoying advertising you can deal with them quite easily.

Firstly, go to your inbox.

Choose the message you didn’t like and click the flag in the top right corner.

And again, choose the reason why you want to report this message.

And that’s it. Problem solved 🙂
