Can a Beginner Start His Own Blog about Blogging?

We often hear people saying that creating a blog about Blogging is reserved for those who already had a success in a different niche and that people who are just starting their journey shouldn’t start by writing about it.

Do you agree with that?

Well, I certainly don’t.

I’m not saying that they don’t have a point. There’s a lot of folks in that niche who are trying to trick us into believing that they’re some kind of marketing gurus and they’ve already had a few successful online businesses.

That’s why I get why some people are so frustrated when they see people with little to no experience start a blog about blogging.

However I believe that if the newbies were forbidden from creating these kind of blogs we would’ve lost a very interesting approach to certain problems.

What kind of approach?

A fresh approach from a person that knows very little to nothing.

Presenting or trying to solve some blogging problems can be of significant help for other bloggers when seen by some really new eyes.

Advanced bloggers present those issues from a completely different point of view and some newbie bloggers don’t understand everything.

That’s why I believe anyone should be able to enter any blogging niche and create a website of their dreams.

Having said that I’m aware that there are a lot of scammers trying to make money on this topic but I found a few elements that indicate whether a particular writer is honest and professional.

So, if you’d like to know what to do to look trustworthy even if you’re a complete Beginner scroll below and read the whole post!

Enjoy!

How Can You Tell if a Beginner Blogger is Honest With His Audience

As I’ve said there are some things that stand out when we want to assess someone’s integrity.

We can tell it by someone’s behaviour, his blog post types, the quality of it, his approach to certain problems he’s trying to solve on his blog, how he’s trying to monetize it and few other small things.

To find out what exactly how can we tell if a new blogger is trustworthy check the paragraphs below.

He’s Writing Articles About Basic Blogging Problems

He’s creating very simple content.

Why?

Because he knows what he doesn’t know and that’s a positive quality to have.

He won’t try to write about something he doesn’t know yet. He’ll cover super basic topics at the beginning. Of course he will improve over time but for now he’s a beginner. What else can he write about? Not many things.

Even though his skills may look limited they’re valuable too.

He’ll be learning those skills along with his Audience. And his audience doesn’t know a lot either. That’s his advantage. He’ll present his solutions from a newbie’s point of view.

No one will have problems understanding him.

He’ll create step-by-step guides on how to register an account somewhere or how to use particular interfaces that bloggers would be interested, how to use wordpress, how to install some plugins or a lot of other, basic information posts.

He’ll cover anything he’s going through at the moment because that’s what other people who are just starting want.

His ignorance is a blessing rather than a curse.

He Isn’t Hiding Anything from His Readers, He Shows The Mistakes He’s Making on His Blog

Failure isn’t a bad thing.

I believe it’s an integral part of success. You won’t succed if you won’t fail from time to time, right?

However, you won’t see many failures presented by established bloggers.

Well, some of them show what didn’t work (well done to them) but others try to to show themselves as perfect as possible.

What I would expect from someone who is new to this blogging thing?

To be straightforward. To tell if something worked or not. To tell whether there were some problems along they way and whether he solved them or he didn’t.

There’s a lot of value in these kind of posts. Other beginners who follow people like this will surely appreciate it as it’s always better to learn from someone’s mistakes than from your own.

So, if you’re presenting results of your actions. You were changing something about your blog but you didn’t succeed then show it anyway.

Show it all, it’s super helpful. Your audience will love that!

He is Creating Case Study Blog Posts Regularly

What is a new blogger doing all the time?

Experimenting and learning.

Every new thing he starts is a completely new thing for him and it’s an opportunity to make a case study about it.

Why?

Case study posts are an awesome way to learn new things. They show step-by-step actions taken towards a particular goal and if someone is really honest with you he’ll show exactly what he’s doing. He won’t care that you might copy his work because that’s what blogging is all about.

It’s about sharing valuable content!

He is Not Trying to Sell Something in Every Blog Post

Unfortunately both fake bloggers and beginners tend to do it.

They put affiliate links all around the place trying to make you buy something.

The difference is that the ones who are learning eventually find out that it doesn’t neccessarily work that way.

It’s a bit more complicated.

So, when assessing any blog you got to look at the bigger picture.

Affiliate links are fine as long as the content is valuable.

If there’s something unique, something we can learn and use why not consider buying from the link?

But if there’s nothing, just some copied or outdated stuff just run away. It’s not worth your time.

He Shows The Progress and The Regress of His Blog

This one is also a very important type of post. It provides both the valuable knowledge and motivation for the audience.

If your fans are people who are trying to make money blogging and you’re showing them how you’re doing , whether your traffic is growing or not, how many email you’ve collected so far it encourages them to follow you and your tips.

It helps them to get through doubt and believe that it’s possible.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re doing better every day or whether you had to make a step back.

It’s all good as long as you’re honest with them.

It’s not point lying to them as they can check some of your metrics.

Remember, the worst truth is better than a lie!

He Shows How Much He’s Earned on His Blog

This is obviously something that will probably take some time for anyone who is starting but generally it is a very good indicator of someone’s integrity.

Income report posts are also one of the most popular types of posts.

Well, who doesn’t like money, huh?

They can significantly improve your conversion rate and help you become an expert in your niche.

So, make sure to post them even if you didn’t earn that much.

You Can Become an Awesome Blogger Even If You’re a Beginner

These tips above should really help you when starting your own blog about blogging. They should also help you when you’re trying to test someone’s integrity.

Seeing a beginner in this niche should make us think twice before we believe him.

On the other hand there are some honest folks who work their assess off and they should be given the credit.

They provide value, they show what works and what doesn’t, they’re not afraid to admit they made some mistakes.

Their transparency is awesome.

So, wrapping it up I’d like to encourage all the beginners who are trying to enter any niche: if you’re doing things right you can achieve your goal and create a fantastic blog.

Don’t hesitate and start a blog now!
