What Are Bloggers Struggling With?

Creating any kind of online business is difficult and blogging is no different.

Bloggers – especially the new ones – will struggle with a lot of things but they have to understand that this is the only way they learn.

By trying and failing. Over and over again.

What they may not realize is that there are a lot of people who have already been there.

They failed their way to success.

Having said that there’s a lot of info out there how to deal with these problems bloggers face.

You don’t always have to fail like them.

You have to look for the solutions.

Well, you actually don’t need to that because I did it for you.

I gathered all the things the bloggers are going through at various stages of their journey and presented how to deal with each of them.

Let’s dive into it!

What Struggles Do Bloggers Face and How To Deal With Them

Writing Skills Are Not Good Enough

Blogging is mostly Writing so if you have doubts over your writing skills that’s some serious issue you need to address.

For many bloggers this is the number one struggle they’re facing.

They fear that they can’t produce top-notch content. They believe their introductions are poor and none of them can hook the readers, their research skills aren’t that thorough and the conclusion usually doesn’t sum it up well.

How to improve it all?

Firstly, you got to read a lot of other people’s content and learn from them all the tricks.

Secondly, you have to write every day and you got to be aware that nothing works the first time and it requires hours of work to be good at something.

Not Knowing The Niche They’re In

I chose this niche because I thought it would be easy to monetize but I don’t know that much about it.

This happens quite often, doesn’t it?

It’s obviously good to know your niche well when choosing it but it isn’t a must if you’re someone who’s willing to learn new things.

If you know all the secrets about something then it’s simple to create content around it but if you’re new to something the only way to write a decent blog post is to study the subject and research more thoroughly.

There are a lot of bloggers who don’t necessarily blog about something they’re passionate about yet they succeed.

You can do that, too!

Not Knowing How Many Posts To Write

How many posts should I write a week?

When should I publish them?

These are the questions that new bloggers ask all the time.

But these are wrong questions in the first place.

Why?

Because the time doesn’t determine the quality and the quality is the most important factor when it comes to content.

So, don’t focus too much on it.

Focus on the research, the writing, the editing and proofreading.

Your audience will like if you put a lot of time and work into a post – not when and how often you publish it.

Not Staying Disciplined And Not Persevering

One thing I know about blogging is that it’s a long-term game and it really takes some time and a lot of work to see the results.

Even though there are thousands of new blogs created and millions of blog posts written daily there are still a lot of people who think blogging is not for them.

Mainly because of the time it takes to be succesful they choose other options that they believe are easier and results are quicker.

Well, there’s no place in this industry for people who give up so easily.

Are you one of them?

I hope not – even if you think about it every day.

The best advice to deal with that struggle?

Don’t quit. Persevere.

This may help you.

Not Getting Traffic

There is no blogging without an audience and there’s no audience without traffic.

But to get traffic you have to either promote your content heavily or make sure you can rank for certain keywords.

There’s no other way.

So, if you chose not to focus on SEO and you prefer to promote it on social media then you have be persistent and build your following.

However, if search engines are the main source of your traffic then you have to make sure you choose the right keywords and you write compelling content.

And you have to remember that there’s Google Sandbox so you’ll have to wait at least six months before you start receiving a signifiant amount of organic traffic.

Readers Not Engaging With Their Content

I wrote a decent post. I get lots of visitors but no one is actually clicking my links or joining my newsletter and I don’t know how to change it.

This is actually a common problem.

There are at least a few reasons why it’s happening. Check them here.

But the question is how to fix it?

Firstly, make sure you add calls-to-action in your blog post, write with intent and identify your audience.

Even if you don’t know how to do it yet it will surely come with time.

Not Being Optimistic

I’m having doubts, it doesn’t feel like I’m able to do it.

Well, most of the people who start their blogs quit before they get out of the Google Sandbox.

No wonder they do that. They put a lot of work into their content and they don’t see any results for at least a few months.

Some of them don’t know that it takes some time for Google to rank you.

All you have to do is to just stick with it.

Don’t even think about quitting. Even you fail at the end. There’s still a lot you’ll learn from it and perhaps you’ll use it later for another business or your next blog!

Struggling To Choose Good Keywords

It’s been more than a year now and I still get no organic traffic.

How is that even possible?

It’s actually very likely that it’s happening. You probably chose a wrong keyword. A keyword that’s too difficult with lots of high-authority sites already ranking for it.

So, what should you do?

Target low-competiton keywords and thoroughly analyze your competition on search engine results page.

If you think you can create a better post or if there are results that are not neccessarily relevant go after it.

Doing Too Many Things At Once

You got yourself a new theme, you’re creating a new opt-in form for your home page, you’re commenting on other blogs, you’re creating new relationship and you do it all almost at the same time.

You just jump from task to task and you never finish one.

You have to focus on something. Finish it and then move on to the next one.

What else can help you?

A good to-do-list to organize it all and help you stay as productive as you can be.

Trying To Be Perfect

I’ve been writing a blog post for a few hours already.

It’s still only around 500 words and I’m stuck.

Yes, I try to make it perfect.

I don’t want people to criticise me or laugh at my writing, I just want it to be really, really good.

Well, who doesn’t want that?

Everyone would like their portfolio of content to be made only of great blog posts but it’s not possible.

Just check some popular blogs and compare their older blog posts to the new ones.

You’ll spot a great difference and you’ll see how they learned over time.

What they did is they kept going. They kept writing and improving. They kept releasing blog posts even though they probably knew they weren’t the best.

And that’s how you learn, you just push out a lot of content and you learn a new lesson every time you hit publish.

There’s just no other way so don’t stop writing, don’t try to be perfect because you won’t be.

No Matter What The Struggle Is – You Can Overcome It

There are lots of struggles every blogger will face. Some will come sooner and some will come later.

You just have to be prepared for it.

The most important weapon to fight them all is your mindset.

It will help you persevere, learn things you don’t know yet, try some new stuff out and improve on a consistent basis.

Each of these problems I listed can make you quit but if you keep working towards the goal you can overcome them.

Remember:

“If you’re going through hell, keep going”
