Odion Ighalo was among the goalscorers as Al Shabab walloped Al Ain 5-1 in Saudi Arabian premier league game on Wednesday.

The forward was the lone man up front and he was able to make his mark on the pitch by hitting the back of the net and also created another.

Brazilian forward Sebastião de Freitas Couto, popularly known as Seba put Al Shabab in front in the 36th minute after good work from Ever Banega.

Five minutes later, Ighalo doubled the advantage from Cristian Guanca’s assist.

The former Manchester United striker has now netted seven goals in the Saudi Arabian Pro League since joining in January.

Badou Ndiaye reduced the tally before the break but Argentine midfielder Ever Banega restored their two goals lead from the penalty spot.

Ighalo then turned provider for Cristian Guanca who made it 4-1, before he was substituted for Turki Al-Ammar in the 76th minute.

Russia’s Igor Lichnovsky wrapped up the scoring for the hosts with the fifth few minutes later.

The win moves Al Shabab four within leaders Al Hilal who are on 55 points after 28 round of matches.
