Rivers United striker Godwin Aguda has stated that the 2-0 win recorded by his side against Jigawa Golden stars will help restore confidence in the team after a run of five matches without a win prior to the encounter on Sunday.

Aguda who opened the scoring in the encounter speaking in a chat with brila.net was full of gratitude to God for the much-needed win with doubts and questioned already arising from different quarters and stakeholders in the team as regards the form of the team.
He added that he believes this win will help renew the faith and trust of all stakeholders with regards to what the team can achieve.
“We give glory to God because this game has really shown us because for the past few weeks we are not getting positive results that we really need with a lot of calls and worries in the team but glory be to God we got a result that gives the players, Management and fans hope that we can really do it.”
