Ben Yedder continued his great form, and he has 16 league goals in 22 appearances. He is the top-scorer in the Ligue 1 right now, and his summer move from Sevilla has been a resounding success. Slimani has also been effective, and he has 8 goals and 7 assists to his name this campaign.

Just like Monaco, Montpellier are looking to get into European places. After three games without a win, they bounced back last weekend. Saint-Etienne were the visitors, and Montpellier claimed a 1-0 win. Andy Delort scored the goal, which took his tally for the season to nine. Junior Sambia was sent off in the first half for Montpellier, which handed the initiative to Saint-Etienne. But they could not score, and Montpellier held on to clinch the three points.
Montpellier are just four points off the third place as it stands. They have not qualified for the Champions League since 2013. That was the only campaign in the competition for Montpellier, but this season gives a chance to change that. Montpellier’s defence has dropped off late, and they have kept just one league clean sheet in the last two months. A 5-0 loss to PSG recently was a demoralizing result, but they will hope to put together a winning run now.
