Rolled paper backdrops are an affordable option for photo backdrops for a home studio and can be used multiple times. In addition, they come in a variety of colors and sizes enabling you to provide different background options to your clients.

There are also other types of backdrops that can be used for a photography backdrop such as Muslin backdrops. However, Muslin backdrops require a little bit more upkeep that rolled paper backdrops.

Floor backdrops are great when combined with rolled paper backdrops, it enhances the aesthetics of your photos. And are wonderful for newborn and children photo shoots.

Regardless of the type of photography, you will be doing in your studio space, a great low light portrait lens is needed. The most popular affordable portrait lenses are the 50mm and 35mm lens.

Although the 50mm and 35mm lens are great low light lenses, you will still want to have an adequate lighting setup.

Many photographers who have a DIY photo studio use studio lighting kits. They don’t have to be hugely expensive lights. You can purchase a good lighting kit for around $50 dollars depending upon the brand.
