OnePlus has launched its flagship Oneplus 9 series smartphones with latest Snapdragon 888 chips, Hasselblad cameras, improved wireless charging and better displays. The company also announced its first smartwatch– OnePlus Watch. The new OnePlus 9 series include OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. While specifications are similar, OnePlus has added more improvements to the Pro variant. Both phones support 5G networks and NFC. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner in both the phones along with face unlock support. Here’s all details about the new OnePlus 9 series phones.

OnePlus 9 Pro specifications
The OnePlus 9 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED with LTPO 120Hz panel having a resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels at 525 ppi density, smart 120 Hz refresh rate, aspect ratio of 20.1:9 along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The OnePlus 9 Pro runs OxygenOS based on Android 11 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB UFS3.1 storage.
Talking about the cameras, the OnePlus has worked with lens maker Hasselblad. The OnePlus 9 Pro has 4 lenses– 48MP Main + 50MP Ultra Wide + 8MP telephoto + 2MP monochrome. The main camera sensor is 48MP Sony IMX789 with OIS, EIS and an aperture of F1.8.
Video recording capabilities of the OnePlus 9 Pro include 8K video at 30fps , 4K video at 30/60/120fps, Super Slow Motion: 720p video at 480fps, 1080p video at 240fps; Time-Lapse: 1080p at 30fps, 4K at 30fps. There is a 16MP Sony IMX471 camera with EIS, fixed focus and F2.4 aperture in the front.
OnePlus 9 Pro is backed by a 4500 mAh battery with Warp Charge 65T (10V/6.5A) support and wireless Warp Charge 50 (Input: 10V/6.5A, 20V/3.25A, Output: 50W max) support. You will get the Warp Charge 65 power adapter with Warp Charge Type-C to Type-C cable inside the box.
The OnePlus 9 Pro comes in three colour options: Morning Mist, Forest Green and Stellar Black.

The OnePlus 9 comes with similar specifications when compared to the pro version. But there are differences in the display, camera and there’s no wireless charging. The OnePlus 9 comes with 6.55-inch (1080 x 2400 pixels) Full HD+ display. There’s a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP Sony IMX689 primary sensor with EIS, aperture of F1.8 + 50 MP ultra wide + 2MP Monochrome sensor. As far as the battery is concerned, there’s the same 4,500 mAh battery with 65W Wrap Charge support but no wireless charging.
