SC Collegium recommends elevation of 31 judicial officers as judges in 3 High Courts

The Supreme Court Collegium in its meetings held on July 19 and 20, 2022 has approved and recommended the proposal for the elevation of 31 judicial officers as judges in the Allahabad High Court, the Karnataka High Court and the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Once notified by the Central government, the Allahabad High Court will get 9 new judges, the Andhra Pradesh High Court will get 7 new judges and the Karnataka High Court will get 5 new judges. Their names are given below:

Allahabad High Court

Shri Mohd. Azhar Husain Idrisi,

Shri Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra,

Smt. Jyotsna Sharma,

Shri Mayank Kumar Jain,

Shri Shiv Shanker Prasad,

Shri Gajendra Kumar,

Shri Surendra Singh-I,

Shri Nalin Kumar Srivastava.

Andhra Pradesh High Court

Shri Adusumalli Venkata Ravindra Babu,

Shri Vakkalagadda Radha Krishna Krupa Sagar,

Shri Syamsunder Bandaru,

Shri Srinivas Vutukuru,

Shri Boppana Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Chakravarthi,

Shri Tallapragada Mallikarjuna Rao,

Shri Duppala Venkata Ramana.

Karnataka High Court

Shri Anil Bheemsen Katti,

Shri Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja,

Shri Chandrashekhar Mrutyunjaya Joshi,
