The Nightcap With Carlos King Episode 3 Tamar Braxton And Chef Razia Sabour Own Network

In this episode of The Nightcap With Carlos King season 1 episode 3, his special guest is Tamar Braxton. Carlos opens up the show dressed in a navy blue suit talking to DJ Princess and then he introduces us to Tamar Braxton. Carlos lets us know that he and Tamar are actually good friends on social media, however, they have never met in person. He says they talk daily but this is the first time that they’re actually meeting in person.

Carlos asks Tamar how is she doing since her sister’s passing. Traci Braxton passed away earlier this year and Tamar let Carlos know that she’s taking it day by day and that one of the good things about Traci is that she was able to make up with her sister before she passed so she was grateful for that.

Carlos was able to get an exclusive from Tamar Braxton where she revealed that she will be dropping new music this year.

Carlos then asks Tamar what is going on between her and Nene Leaks because they are friends but they have unfollowed each other on social media. Tamar explains that it’s nothing personal, there’s just sometimes when she doesn’t want to hear what someone or see what someone is saying so she unfollows them on social media, however, it’s no big deal.

In the next segment, Carlos plays a clip from the Own Network show Love And Marriage Huntsville where Keke and Kimmi were having a conversation about talking about LaTisha to other people. Carlos asks Tamar if she thinks that Keke was in the wrong for doing that being that she is LaTisha’s cousin and Tamar said yes, family is off-limits. You should not be having a conversation about family because you always revert back to the family so it’s not good to do.

Carlos then told Tamar that Keke was is on the show and LaTisha did not know that Keke was coming on the show, what is her opinion on that? Tamar let Carlos know that Latisha should have been notified that Keke was coming on the show and she should have had an opinion about that. I believe Kiki was brought on the show by executive producer and also cast member Melody Holt in order to have some uncomfortable conversations regarding Latisha because as we know Latisha and melody are not seeing eye to eye at the moment.

Carlos opens the next segment by thanking Tamar again for being on the show and then he talks about another Own Network show called Put A Ring On It and he asked Tamar if she would ever be on a show like that. Her answer was no she wouldn’t be brave enough to do that. Carlos also mentions to Tamar that he knows that she is in contact with her ex David, and wants to know if it’s anything romantic and if there is a possibility of a reconciliation period.

Tamar let him know that David contacted her before Traci passed away and that they are just talking because a lot has happened between them as a couple and that there was a lot of healing that needs to go on but there is nothing romantic in that situation. Tamar then lets us know that she has been celibate for a very long time and Carlos let her know that he may have to get her on a show or a series or a franchise like love and marriage in order to find her a significant other.

We then opened the next segment with a clip from Love and Marriage D.C. when the couples are at Monique’s house for the vegan dinner and we found out that Winter, the relationship expert, married a man and she has never seen where he lived before. Ashley got on her for that and after watching the clip, Carlos asks Tamar do you believe that you can be a relationship expert if you are not in a relationship? Tamar answered saying no because you have to walk the walk in order to preach to me and she said she will have a better chance of being a relationship expert because she was married to Vince for 17 years and even though they are not together anymore they do co-parenting and they have a great relationship while raising their son as co-parents.

In the next segment, Carlos posed the question to the audience “can you be a relationship expert if you’ve had one failed relationship after another? He wants the audience to answer the question and post it to his social media account.

In the next segment, Carlos introduced us to chef Razia Sabour from the Own Network show The Great Soul Food Cook-Off. He asks her what makes this show different from any other chef show that’s on television? Chef Razia lets us know that it’s a show to showcase black chefs, the contestants are all black, the judges are all black and the food choices have only to do with soul food so it’s a little bit different than other shows where most black chefs are not showcased.

The Nightcap With Carlos King Review Season 1 Episode 2 Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Martell Holt

Name that Manwich was the title of the next segment. Carlos gave the ladies ingredients and the name of a celebrity and they needed to actually name that Manwich.

Tamar named Lenny Kravitz the Hallelujah sandwich.

Chef Razia named John Sena the smack-down sandwich.

Tamar also named Jesse Williams the lay it down lay it low and spread it wide sandwich.

In the next segment called The Sneak Peek, Carlos showed us a clip of the next week’s episode of Love and Marriage D.C. where we see Monique and Chris having an uncomfortable conversation about him putting up walls and not communicating as well as she feels he should. and at this point, because he’s doing that she’s also putting up a wall so there is some tension in the relationship.

After watching the clip Carlos asked Tamar what are her feelings about that and she just said it made her cringe because she could remember a time when she had the same situation in her marriage to Vince but she does not appreciate the way that Monique is talking to her husband, she feels that Monique’s tone and her words are making her husband feel less than a man.

Carlos now ends the segment with his inspirational word of the day which was “your name is rooms that your feet have not entered yet”. Carlos then thanks everyone for watching the episode and wishes us well until the next episode.
