shown so little respect.

I gave you everything,

didn’t ask for much.

Was it too much to hope,

for you to handle with care.

To love me properly,

and look after your home.

The way you’ve behaved,

damage that’s been done.

My heart has been broken,

tears have run dry.

I know some have tried,

to right all those wrongs.

To protect my oceans,

our forests and seas.

But the selfishness I feel,

from your leaders and chiefs.

It might already be beyond you,

to save your Mother Earth.
