All the Frozen fans out there, there is big news for all of you. You are probably excited like hell after the announcement of Frozen 3, isn’t it? Yes, it is officially happening at Disney, but there’s been a big change behind the scenes from the first two movies. As you know, Jennifer Lee, wrote and co-directed the first two movies. 

However, it was confirmed in June 2023 that she will not direct the third movie and might also refrain from writing the script. In fact, in one of her recent interviews, she said “Where we’re going with Frozen did not come from me.” She explained, “It came from an incredible person…”

She is presently having a blast with that super-talented team. So even though Lee won’t be writing the script, she will be associated with the development of the movie in some way or the other. So in today’s article, we shall discuss some of the interesting about this superhit animated movie. 

When can we Expect Frozen 3 to Release?

Many of you are probably curious to find out about the release date of Frozen 3, right? So we shall share some of the details here. Well, this superhit animated movie might have been confirmed, but we’re still no closer to finding out when this will arrive in cinemas. Therefore, there is no news about the Frozen 3 release date. 

As you know, the new movie was officially announced by Disney boss Bob Iger in February 2023. However, he didn’t give any further information on how far along the new movie is, development-wise. Well, there were six years between the release dates for the previous two sequels.

So that’s a good marker for when we can probably expect the third sequel. Therefore, it seems that the fans might have to wait until 2025 for the return of Anna and Elsa. Stay tuned to us to know all the latest updates about the release dates.

Frozen 3 Cast: Whom are we Going to See in Frozen 3?

Well, most of the major players from the first two movies of Frozen are set to make a comeback. Therefore, it is likely that the same will be said for the new animated film. Yes, that means that Idina Menzel (Wicked) is back as Elsa. In fact, Menzel has also confirmed her return. However, she has not yet been given any details on the sequel as of now. 

The same goes for Kristen Bell as the lovable Anna. Jonathan Groff’s Kristoff will also return to the fold with his lovable reindeer Sven, played by Frank Welker. Finally, last but not least, the incomparable Olaf, portrayed by comedian Josh Gad, will most certainly grace the screen again in the third sequel. 

The directors also reported that this movie will not have original director Jennifer Lee at the helm, who co-directed the first two movies with Chris Buck. So it seems that Disney is seeking a new director to take over. Therefore, we are yet to find out about the new team that will take over the new movie. 

What can we Expect in Frozen 3?

As is expected, the Frozen 3 story will continue from where Frozen 2 left off. However, even that is a bit speculative from this early. The previous sequel is somewhat unusual as it doesn’t have an actual villain. This story is instead about a journey to find out the source of Elsa’s powers. In addition, to revealing the secrets of Arendelle’s past. 

However, the story does go to lengths to repeatedly remind the audience of Frozen’s villain, Prince Hans. As you know, Hans is brought up during a game of charades. He is mentioned in a conversation between Anna and Kristoff. So during his summary of the plot of Frozen, Olaf plays the role of Hans.

Later, we see Hans himself in an icy form when Elsa is exploring Ahtohallan. So if Disney wanted to find a way to bring him back as a villain in Frozen 3 this could definitely be done. Now we have to be a bit patient to find out what will actually happen. 

So in the upcoming movie what we can witness is, that with Anna now ruling as Queen of Arendelle and Elsa looking after the Enchanted Forest, a new villain could interrupt the peace of the kingdom.

Needless to say, Hans is devious enough that he would find a way to return and make trouble for the sisters. Therefore, the latest movie could bring things full circle by showing its comeback of Hans.

Moreover, they could even show a jump forward in time and follow either Anna or Elsa’s children. Therefore, only time will reveal what Disney has in store for their fans.

Well, it goes without saying that the children are super excited about the new movie and are eagerly waiting for it.
