Kerri Seekins Crowe, a lawmaker from Montana, gained widespread attention on social media when she made a statement that she would prefer to take the risk of her Daughter experiencing s**cide than assisting her in undergoing a gender transition.

State Representative Kerri made a statement During a legislative debate in which she revealed that she had not allowed her daughter to undergo a gender transition because she believed her daughter was emotionally manipulating her. She said:

“I am one of those parents who lived with a daughter who was suicidal for three years. Someone once asked me- “wouldn’t I just do anything to help save her?” And I really had to think and the answer was, no. I was not going to give in to her emotional manipulation because she was incapable of making those decisions”
