A big step forward has been made in the investigation of Eric Maigo’s murder. Eric was a senior worker at The Nairobi Hospital. The police have caught the main suspect they believe is responsible for his death. The detectives found this suspect, who is a minor, on September 26 in Kibra, Nairobi.

After catching her, they took her to Muthaiga Police Station, but they plan to move her to Kilimani Police Station, which has been working on this case from the start. What Really Happened to Eric Maigo?

Eric Maigo, the finance boss of The Nairobi Hospital, met a tragic and cruel end on September 15th. He was stabbed several times, as is confirmed by the autopsy. The killer stabbed him not once, not twice, but a total of 25 times. He succumbed to his death slowly, lying in the pool of his own blood. 

Prime Suspect

The main person suspected in Eric Maigo’s murder is thought to have had a big part in the terrible crime. There were cameras inside Maigo’s home at Woodley Annex-Upper, and they recorded what the suspect did. It’s said that she was involved in the murder, which was really bad, and then she ran away out the back door.

The scene where the murder happened was very upsetting. They found two knives with blood on them. Later, they looked at the live pictures from the site of the crime.

In the pictures, they saw that the suspect was walking calmly out of the back door. She also attempted to run away from the scene by climbing over the wall, even though it had sharp wire on top.

The police publicly released the picture on September 21st. They asked for help from everyone to apprehend the suspects. Like most of us, the police also suspect her, for she ran away from the sight.

The person they think did the terrible murder of Eric Maigo, the Acting Finance Director of Nairobi Hospital, is now known as Ann Adhiambo. She also goes by the name Nut, and she’s a teenager.

The detectives working on the case found some clothes they thought she wore when the crime happened. They found a red checkered shirt and some grey animal-print pants in a wooden house in Bombolulu village, which is deep inside the big Kibira settlement.

We also found out a bit about Ann Adhiambo’s schooling. It looks like she took her KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education) exam at the Dagoretti-approved school between 2021 and 2022.

This tells us how old she is and a little about her schooling. The detectives are still looking into what happened with Eric Maigo’s terrible murder, and finding her clothes might help them connect her to the crime and figure out how she was involved in this big case.

Reason For The Murder

The police have not found out why Eric Maigo was killed yet, so we don’t know the exact reason. Something interesting happened, too.

They arrested a teenager they thought did the killing, and this happened after they let another person named Cynthia Lusega Andalo go. They arrested her because they saw her in a video with Eric Maigo before he died, but now she’s been released.
