Apple TV has released a set of first-look images for its upcoming limited Series thriller. It stars Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum and Tom Holland, who also serves as an executive producer.

So “The Crowded Room” is an anthology series. However, it tells stories about people living successfully while dealing with mental illnesses, according to Deadline. 

The writer and producer Akiva Goldsman created the show. People know him for his work on “A Beautiful Mind,”. Holland serves alongside Goldsman as an executive producer.

What is The Crowded Room about?

Holland will be on the wrong side of the interrogation table in The Crowded Room. Also, he certainly likes a character in trouble with the law. So the series is ready to chronicle the story of Holland’s lead. Danny Sullivan, police arrested him for his involvement in a 1979 New York City shooting. 

However, the official synopsis describes it as a “captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin,” portrayed by Seyfried. 

“Danny’s life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him. Also, the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation,” the synopsis continues.

Who stars in The Crowded Room with Tom Holland?

Amanda Seyfried recently won an Emmy for her starring turn as disgraced Theranos proprietor Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout. He will portray the interrogator, Rya Goodwin, who pursues the Sullivan case. 

We know Emmy Rossum for her portrayal of Fiona Gallagher in the American adaptation of Shameless. He rounds off the top-billed trio as Candy Sullivan. We know less about her. But probably, she’s related to Holland’s lead.

The series will also star American Honey’s Sasha Lane, Dopesick’s Will Chase and Lior Raz. People know of Netflix’s Israeli-American series Hit & Run. 

However, we can find a couple of indie faces in the guest ensemble: Jason Isaacs, hot off critical praise for his role in the school shooting drama Ma. Also, Christopher Abbott of Girls fame mapmaker tantalising casting indeed.

When will The Crowded Room be released?

The first three episodes of The Crowded Room are ready to hit Apple TV on 9 June.

Amanda Seyfried Interrogates Tom Holland in First Look at The Crowded Room 

In one of the April 3 pictures, Seyfried’s character interrogates Holland in a late-1970s precinct. The pair stared each other down in a cold stalemate. Other images capture Holland with long hair leaning against some era-specific wallpaper. Rossum drives a convertible with a young boy and a suited Seyfried standing in front of a blackboard.

Additionally, Holland shared a fifth image of himself covered in blood on his Instagram page. That simply captioned the shot with the show’s release date, “9th of June.”

The 10-episode series comes from Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman and also stars Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, Thomas Sadoski and Zachary Golinger.

According to the late Flowers for Algernon author Daniel Keyes, The Crowded Room is based on his 1981 novel The Minds of Billy Milligan. It is about the first man to plead insanity in court due to dissociative identity disorder (DID).
