Barbarian to Druid, Every Class in Diablo 4

You’ll need to master these classes in Diablo 4 to finally defeat the Daughter of Hate as Lilith’s evil spreads over Sanctuary. It’s safe to say that excitement for the highly anticipated Diablo 4 dungeon crawler, which is set to release on June 6, 2023, is at an all-time high.

We already know which classes will make up the Sanctuary’s future heroes because Blizzard confirmed that five playable characters would be released at launch. So stay a bit and listen, and let’s look at every class currently available in Diablo 4 and what is known about their role in taking out Lilith.

What Number of Classes does Diablo 4 have?

Five classes will be available when the game launches on June 6, 2023. Crucially, although you’ll only have a choice of these five at launch, other classes will still be offered.

As part of the Lord of Destruction, an expansion for Diablo 2, the Assassin and Druid entered the fray, and the Crusader was included as part of Reaper of Souls for Diablo 3. Moreover, the Rise of the Necromancer available to buy the bundle in Diablo 3 included a comeback of the Necromancer.

Players can select from the following:

  1. Barbarian
  2. Druid
  3. Necromancer
  4. Rogue
  5. Sorceress

It’s important to note that none of the classes in Diablo 4 are gender-locked, allowing players to design their characters completely.

All Barbarian Classes in Diablo 4

Barbarian

The tanky Barbarian will return in Diablo 4, transcending all previous Diablo games. The Barbarian is an expert, including dual weapons, and is ideal for players who enjoy playing aggressively. Hordes of opponents will have little chance against the overwhelming power of a Barbarian because of their access to various AoE earth-shattering attacks.

They will be on the front lines of the battle against Lilith, combining their deadly weapons with ability-enhancing war cries and buffs.

Druid

The Druid makes a comeback with their collection of beloved pets for the first time since Diablo 2. The Druid can change into a poisonous werewolf or towering bear, defeat any enemies in their path, and fight with animals.

The Druid balances ranged aggression and martial combat thanks to its design, which lets you focus on calling forth creatures or using elemental abilities.

Necromancer

Diablo 4 finds the necromancer’s return.

Necromancers are cunning summoners who are skilled in using death magic. They can summon armed forces of the undead to wreak havoc on their victims.

Three strong bastions of Bone, Blood, or Shadow, each of which is an important factor of a Necromancer’s immensely destructive arsenal, are created when their Essence flows into them. This lesson is not for the fearful, but anyone looking to use dark, forbidden power should give it strong consideration.

Rogue

While the Rogue hasn’t been seen in-game since the original Diablo, their playstyle is similar to Diablo 2’s Assassin or Diablo 3’s Demon Hunter.

The Rogue is a faster warrior who performs best at inflicting heavy damage from a distance while being capable of escaping unharmed. They use the bow and various fatal knives and trap equipment as their main weapon.

Sorcerer

The Sorceress has returned to casting spells and changing guises in each Diablo game, although in a few distinct guises. The Sorceress is the lord of the elements in Diablo 4, commanding lightning bolts from the heavens and even whacking their enemies with meteors.

The Sorcerer is a glass cannon who excels at doing damage from a distance but struggles in close quarters. As mentioned, Diablo 4 begins with a total of five classes, but Blizzard has many options for future class additions.

Nine other classes from Diablo’s earlier games are absent from Diablo 4, and devoted players are hopeful that some will appear in DLC.
