3 Ways to Turn Your Love of Gaming into a Business

Gaming is one of the biggest industries in the world, and if you have a deep Love and knowledge of Gaming, you could turn this into a source of income. There are tons of different avenues that you could take, but they don’t all involve becoming an esports champion. With a little bit of imagination and gusto, you could either make a full-time living from gaming or get a nice side income to help you pay the bills. Let’s take a look at a few ways that you could turn your love of gaming into a business.

1. Start a Gaming Blog

One of the best ways to make money as a gamer would be to start a blog. The beauty of a blog is that it’s very low maintenance, and you can have one up and running for a few dollars. You can get a cheap domain from a place like GoDaddy and you can also get a cheap hosting package from them. You can then install WordPress on your server, which is the world’s most popular blogging platform. It’s very easy to use and your blog could go live in under a day if you have content to post.

The two most important parts when starting a blog are choosing a good niche and monetising your site. You could start reviewing casinos online, for instance, and sign up for their affiliate programs so you can earn a commission every time someone signs up with them after following one of your links.

You could also become an affiliate for GameStop, Amazon, and any retailer that sells gaming software or hardware and find clever ways to integrate their links into your posts. The only thing you have to be careful of is having affiliate disclaimers on posts that contain affiliate links if you want to stay in compliance with the Australian Consumer Law.

2. Start Selling Used Gaming Hardware

Another thing you could do would be to start buying Gaming Hardware and selling it. You could buy rare games or high-demand consoles on sites like Facebook marketplace or a local classifieds site and resell them on eBay. Set your initial bid so you can break even and wait to see how the auction ends. If you find items that work, you can start buying them up en masse from any supplier you can and start an eBay store.

Another thing you could do is find broken consoles or gaming accessories and fix them. You could find tons of great steals that way and learning how to repair gaming hardware is not that difficult. All you need is a basic set of tools and you could learn how to perform the most common repairs through YouTube.

3. Become a Live Streamer

If you have a great personality, you truly love gaming, and you’re good at it, then becoming a streamer could be a good idea. You will need to invest in a basic setup, and invest in decoration so you can make your room look nice. You’ll need professional sound equipment, a soundboard, a high-performance webcam, and lighting equipment as well.

After that, it’s all about getting involved in the community. You need to get involved in other players’ streams and even be ready to stir a little bit of trouble. Taunting other streamers or getting them to accept one of your challenges could be a great way to create some buzz for your channel.

Pick the right streamer, and this could be all that’s needed to open the floodgates to your channel. From then on, all you have to do is be consistent and offer value and you should be able to start building a solid following in no time.

These are all things that you could do to make money out of your love and passion for gaming. Look at all the opportunities there are out there, and try a few ideas until you find something that works.
