Fear, this four-letter word can devastate your life. Every person has Fear of something. Someone has fear of losing a job, someone has fear of relationship failure or someone has fear of their own future. So, how to deal with that fear?
Are you’re suffering from such a situation? Then, check out these easy steps to get rid of fear.



1)    Figure out the cause of fear:


If you don’t know the cause of your fear then how’ll you overcome it? So it is important to find out its cause. The only way you can overcome this by knowing its roots. It is very important to be aware of the potential and real threats and reacts appropriately to them.    
Fear comes in many shades, lots of things make us feel afraid. Just knowing what makes you afraid and why can be the first step to sorting out problems with your fear.

2)    Know the type of your fear:


These are the most common fears people have:

    Fear of Failure:

This is the most common fear for every person, indirectly we allow this fear to stop our forward progress in life.
So, how to deal with that? Learn to think more positively, the most powerful way to build your self-confidence. Identify the consequences of failing that scare you the most & evaluate your ability to deal with these consequences.

    Fear of Rejection:

The fear of emotion is a very common human emotion. An irrational fear that has you convinced that people won’t accept you due to your opinion, beliefs, looks, personality, and behavior.
The fear of rejection affects the ability to succeed in a wide range of personal and professional situations. These are the most common, Job interview, Meeting new peoples, business meetings etc.

So, How to overcome the fear of rejection?

1) Gain proper perspective and clarity about your fear.
2) Ask yourself and identify what it is precisely you fear? What type of rejection do I fear? Whose rejection do I fear and why? Ask yourself these question, you’ll get the answer.


3)    The difference between fear and phobia:


Fear and anxiety are interrelated but the phobia is somewhat different. A phobia is an extreme fear of a particular thing, place or situation. Phobias are anxiety disorders involving fear or anxiety that is excessive or out of proportion. So it is very important to know is it fear or phobia.

How to overcome Phobia?

    Try some medication.
    Learn relaxation techniques that can help you soothe your panic.   

    Read up:

It is helpful to read more about your fear. For example, if you are afraid of something then read about safety measures. Although this may not help you overcome your phobia but this can be the good step to reduce your fear.

    Attend support groups:

The support groups are the groups which help you realize you are not alone. So go out and find such groups, join them and work on issues together.


4)    Techniques to overcome fear:


Use IT-RT Technique:

(ITRAT: Identity, Talk, read, awareness, take action)

    Identify:

Identify what’s making you afraid. Try to know more about your situation, become an observer of your inner space.

    Talk:

Once you know about your fear, talk about it with the expertise. Take help.

    Read:

Reading about your fear can help to overcome it. Read the book, even a lot of information is available on the internet can open new doors on how you can get rid of it.

    Take action:

Be an action taker, it’s just a fear and can’t win over you. Because when facing your fear and take action you become stronger because you realize reality isn’t as bad as your imagination.
The last but not least,

    Meditation:

When you do meditation, that energy can be released, you can create and strengthen pathways and that will help you with greater control over your emotions.
