Final Report

JERSEY is a path breaking , stand out in a crowd Film in Telugu after years. Young director Gowtam delivers an authentic sports film with an inspirational message interlaced with family drama. Hero Nani betters all his previous films’ performance by miles in Jersey. On flipside , the family drama scenes drag the film at times mainly at the begining of the film and in mid of the second half ! However Interval episodes , Pre Climax Ranji Trophy Finals and brilliantly crafted climax cover the flaws !

This fictional story is so authentic that one may get a feel of a true biopic of some star cricketer. Anirudh’s back ground score is biggest asset. Go and watch to encourage an honest effort !

First half of JERSEY is good. No surprises in the overall theme of the film, but the movie is filled with emotion. Director Gowtam stands out in a crowd of his peers, and his execution of the film is brilliant and authentic. Natural star Nani proves his title yet again , father – son thread came out well !

Gautham Tinnanuri of Malli Raava fame is the director. Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack for this film.

The trailers and teasers of Jersey struck an emotional chord with audience and generated good buzz. With the success of Majili, which is based on a similar genre, trade circles are expecting that Jersey will also set the cash registers ringing at box office. After good promotions, Jersey is hitting the screens all over today.
