SBS’s “Flex x Cop,” which is shown at the same time as “Wonderful World,” did really well, getting a 10.1% rating before its last 2 weeks.

Escape and pursuit
I-soo helps Kang-hyun get away by tricking one of Woo-hyuk’s guys at the cabin. He pretends to look for food, and they both leave, which lets Kang-hyun run off.
Kang-hyun’s parents are shocked to hear about Seong-wook’s passing, and her dad figures out she’s looking into the cult. At the station, Kang-hyun’s dad, Hyung-jun, asks Changgun, a higher-up officer, about his daughter.
Changgun, following orders from above, won’t share any info with Hyung-jun, even though Hyung-jun used to be his boss. Hyung-jun asks him to watch over Kang-hyun and then goes.
Meanwhile, Joon-young and Kyung-jin find out from their team that Dong-su and Seong-wook were texting about a secret they discovered. This is why Woo-hyuk went after them.
An SBS reporter questions Joon-young about the Oryun group, but he doesn’t want to talk, thinking the reporter just wants a story. But he does say a workmate joined the cult. Next, we see Kang-hyun with the cult’s manager, Jeong-yeon, who’s actually a reporter who infiltrated the cult to uncover the truth. Jeong-yeon tells her Woo-hyuk poisons people, promising them another life, just to steal their money.
She says he picks 7 people at each meeting to be his victims. The next day, Yeji tells Kang-hyun that Woo-hyuk has chosen her for this ‘next life’. Back at the station, they figure out from fingerprints that Woo-hyuk and Seong-wook have been in trouble with the law three times. Mr. Choi won’t say how he got the fingerprint copies.
Confrontation and resolution
The police find out Woo-hyuk lied about causing a car crash that killed someone. They also hear from a plastic surgeon that Woo-hyuk plans to change his face completely to run away without being found.
At the camp, Woo-hyuk finds out someone messed with the new entry list. So, he has Jeong-yeon drugged and taken to the cabin. That night, Kang-hyun sees one of Woo-hyuk’s men take Jeong-yeon away and gets ready to stop Woo-hyuk’s plan.
Kang-hyun and I-soo fight Woo-hyuk’s men but get overpowered by the last two strong ones. They wake up tied up. Woo-hyuk threatens to finish them off. I-soo tells him he can’t run away because a hidden drone camera is watching, and the cops are coming. This drone is how Mr. Choi got the fingerprint photos.

Woo-hyuk hits a button, and I-soo and Kang-hyun fall into a water-filled room. He locks it and tries to escape. The teams see this on the drone and hurry to the camp. They stop Woo-hyuk and catch his guys.
In the cabin, the water rises, and Kang-hyun panics because she can’t swim. I-soo tries to help.

It’s Joon-young who figures out what’s happening. Kyung-jin finds the water pipe in the basement and shoots it to stop the water. I-soo gives Kang-hyun CPR to wake her up. He’s worried when she doesn’t respond.
Joon-young forces Woo-hyuk to show how to open the hidden door. Kang-hyun wakes up just as Joon-young opens the door. When she hears Woo-hyuk is caught, she hugs Joon-young and cries. I-soo watches, feeling a little upset.~
What's that? It's me who saved her after struggling. Why are those two hugging. (I-soo) :))
That evening, she arrests him. Her parents arrive at the scene, worried. Kang-hyun tells Yeji to call her to sort out her money problems legally. Kang-hyun gives I-soo a smile and goes away. I-soo goes back to his place and his dad calls him, sounding worried.
Before this, Joon-young and Kyung-jin learn where the cult started and get Seong-wook’s wife to agree to an autopsy. The doctor doing the autopsy finds a USB inside him and hands it to Changgun.
Thank you. Thanks to your ridiculous and reckless strategies, we finally able to caught Shin Woo-hyuk. (Joon-young to I-soo)
Changgun gets all the proof he needs, including a video of the top cop taking a bribe. He takes him into custody and tells the higher-ups that bringing Hyung-jun back as the superintendent would make up for their past mistake. Hyung-jun gets his job back.
Later, a drunk driver crashes at I-soo’s dad’s house and dies, ending the episode.
Review
Episode 12 was quite great. I really liked how the police acted fast and smart to catch the bad guy and save the day.
I-soo is starting to like Kang-hyun because he got jealous when Joon-young hugged her. It was clear he wished he was in Joon-young’s place :). Luckily, he finds out Joon-young likes someone else. Kang-Hyun seems to like I-soo too but can’t say it.

The cases in “Flex x Cop" are interesting, especially with the big surprises when they’re solved. I enjoy every case and how we also see the main characters’ own lives and problems. I’m excited to see how the show will grow and what new secrets will come out.
