“Between Him and Her” episode 11: Recap & review

Lee Dong-hae from “Between Him and Her” succeeded in turning his life around after resigning.

In the 11th episode, Jung Hyun-sung (played by Lee Dong-hae) and Han Sung-ok (played by Lee Seol) found themselves in different situations after completing the same project.

Hyun-sung discovered Sung-ok, who had waited for him long past the promised time. However, as Sung-ok walked silently with a stern face, Hyun-sung initiated the conversation, and Sung-ok soon said, “I have no regrets loving Jung Hyun-sung with all my heart. That’s why I want to stop.” This made even our hearts ache.

Drained by Sung-ok’s words that they couldn’t even remain friends, Hyun-sung returned home, collapsed from exhaustion, and burst into tears, seemingly realizing the finality of their separation.

The next day, Kim Geon-yeop (played by Yeon Je-hyung) threw a celebration party for Sung-ok, attributing the success of the last project to her, which led to increased sales. Meanwhile, a completely different atmosphere of congratulations continued at Hyun-sung’s company. Having inspected defective products on the day of the photoshoot under the orders of Lee Myung-jin (played by Lee Ki-hyun), Hyun-sung discovered Myung-jin’s hidden scheme, feeling like giving up everything. He said, “I have no reason to work here anymore,” and left Winders. Myung-jin not only launched a new brand using Hyun-sung’s idea but also made him inspect defective products on the day of the shoot, which wasn’t necessary.

Meanwhile, Kim Hye-ryung (played by Yoon Ye-ju), who was confused by Oh Min-hyuk’s (played by Lim Jae-hyuk) confession the night before, realized the meaning behind Min-hyuk’s actions through the children she teaches at the kindergarten. She called Min-hyuk late at night and asked him directly why he liked her. Min-hyuk honestly confessed his feelings, and the two, who had been friends for 15 years, finally became lovers. Their awkward yet fresh start to a relationship stimulated our romantic senses.~

After resigning, Hyun-sung immersed himself in working on the H.2 brand again. During his design work, he received birthday wishes through text messages, which reminded him that it was his first birthday without Sung-ok. He then started a modest birthday party with Ahn Si-hoo (played by Choi Won-myung) and Kim Hyung-seop (played by Kim Hyun-mok), who visited his studio.

Leaving the sleeping Si-hoo and Hyung-seop behind, Hyun-sung watched an audition competition program alone. He spotted a rapper he had encouraged not to give up on his dreams by giving him H.2 clothes in the past. When the rapper, wearing H.2 clothes, expressed his winning gratitude, amazing things happened. Orders started pouring into the previously orderless H.2 site, leading Hyun-sung to successfully relaunch the brand with different contract terms at Winders.

At the end of episode 11, Hyun-sung sent an invitation to Sung-ok for the H.2 relaunch party, saying, “I can’t imagine H.2 without you. I really hope you can come. I’ll be waiting,” even suggesting a partnership. Hesitant to reply to Hyun-sung’s message, Sung-ok wavered. At the H.2 relaunch party, as Hyun-sung announced his brand, he waited only for Sung-ok. And finally, her arrival at the party was depicted as the ending, raising curiosity towards the final episode (episode 12).

The last episode of “Between Him and Her” will be broadcast on the 15th at 11:20 PM.
