KBS 2TV’s “Live Your Own Life” kept its crown as the most-watched show of Saturday. The show had an impressive 18.8% average rating nationwide, the highest among all the shows on Saturday. Even more, it maintained its dominance as the top-rated program of Sunday, matching its highest ratings of 22.1%.

“Live Your Own Life” episodes 46 & 47 recap

The Landlady’s shocking discovery

The drama comes from an unexpected source: not the Lees or the Kangs, but the Landlady. She finds out that her only son (and his family) have been living a lie in the Gangnam district of Seoul, instead of America!

I was shocked because I thought Hyo-joon and Hyo-do were the most ungrateful sons in this drama. How can he deceive his mother for 20 long years!? She has been sending him money every month and studying English so she could visit her grandchildren in the States.

The Landlady is heartbroken and spends the rest of the week in the worst state we have ever seen her. For once, Hyo-shim’s mom does the right thing and vents her anger, insults, and slaps at the Landlady’s disloyal son.

The truth about Yeom and Sook-hyang

Meanwhile, our regulars on the show have some developments of their own. Mr. Yeom’s old phone is found in his office, and Tae-min listens to a call recording between Yeom and Sook-hyang that proves they killed his parents.

Tae-min, who has always been the one to restrain Tae-ho from seeking revenge, loses his cool and beats up Yeom. I don’t condone violence, but in this case, it's justified. Tae-min tells Sook-hyang that she is no longer his mother, and to make matters worse, Director Park comes back from the U.S. with evidence of her crimes at Taesan Group.

Sook-hyang is finally arrested along with Chairman Kang and Mr. Yeom — but not before she puts on her PPL makeup and accuses Halmeoni of being the real villain of the show. I have to admit, Sook-hyang’s “You’re the original Jang Sook-hyang” remark to Halmeoni was a burn!

Hyo-shim and Tae-ho’s ending

Hyo-shim’s mom finally gives in and approves of Tae-ho, and he doesn’t waste any time to propose to Hyo-shim properly. Tae-min, the big brother, also supports Tae-ho and Hyo-shim’s marriage — and I felt so sad for him as he sat alone in Chairman Kang’s deserted shoe-shine shop. Someone, please give this man his happy ending.

Did Dad have another woman in his life all this while?

The week wraps up with Hyo-shim locating her dad — who has been in the hospital for some time. But it seems like Dad had another woman in his life all this while.
